The Aedyran Ambassador is scared stiff and won’t talk until you take care of the sick bear. You’ll find the Dreamthrall Elder Brown Bear in the arena. It’s covered in weird, mushroom-like stuff, and the sickness has made it crazy. You and Kai need to defeat it. This bear has strong attacks, like charging, biting, and clawing. It can also do a quick claw combo. It’ll roar and push you back when it’s hurt. You can dodge most of its attacks. Hitting the glowing red parts of its body does extra damage. Dodge its attacks and then strike back. Keep attacking to make special finishing moves. Kai’s help will also be helpful. If you win, you get some cool rewards, including materials and a shield.
Dreamthrall Elder Brown Bear
When you meet the Aedyran Ambassador, he will be too terrified to speak until you deal with the Afflicted Bear. As you enter the arena, you will come face-to-face with the Dreamthrall Elder Brown Bear – its body covered in eerie, fungus-like growths. The disease has driven it into a frenzy, and it’s up to you and your companion, Kai, to bring it down.
The Dreamthrall Elder Brown Bear has a range of powerful attacks designed to incapacitate players. It can charge forward to close the distance, biting or striking with a heavy claw attack with significant damage. It unleashes a rapid claw combo when it stands on its hind legs.
Each hit may not be as strong as the charged attack, but taking the full brunt of it can be deadly. As its health drops, the bear lets out a furious roar that pushes players back, knocking them off their feet and dealing additional damage.
Beat Dreamthrall Elder Brown Bear
While the Dreamthrall Elder Brown Bear has several attacks, most can be dodged by moving backward or sideways. Your experience in this battle will depend on your chosen class and abilities.
To increase your chances of survival, focus your attacks on the plague-afflicted parts of the bear’s body, as these are its weak points. When you land successful hits, they will be highlighted in red, signaling critical damage opportunities.
Time your dodges skillfully since the bear charges its attacks, creating an opportunity for you to counterattack. Continue attacking in succession to fill the poise meter so you can release a string of finisher attacks that will take a considerable amount of its health. Don’t forget to utilize Kai’s companion’s skill to inflict extra damage.

At a Party Camp rest stop, you will find an Enchantment Station. Use it to upgrade your bear claws. The menu shows you the enchantments and materials you have to craft them. On the left, select the unique weapon you want to improve. On the right, choose a new primary enchantment to replace the old one. Be careful, though. Once you enchant something, you’re stuck with it – you can’t undo or change it later.
