Managing your inventory in Kingdom Come: Deliverance can be a real hassle, but thankfully, the game has a handy solution—shared storage chests. These chests are all connected, so anything you stash in one can be accessed from any other, making item management much easier. This guide will show you how to quickly acquire your first free storage chest, setting you up for organized adventuring and stress-free item management.
Storage Chest in KCD
Imagine a magical chest, the KCD2 storage chest, that can hold absolutely anything and everything you want to put in it. The really cool part? All these chests are connected. So, if you stash some stuff in a chest in one town, you can grab it later from any other KCD2 chest you find, even in a completely different location.
These chests are super handy. They’re great for getting rid of inventory clutter and keeping all your crafting bits and pieces organized for when you need them. Plus, if you’ve accidentally acquired some, shall we say, “questionable” items and the guards are giving you the side-eye, you can just pop them in a storage chest. Out of sight, out of mind, and definitely not on your person if they decide to search you. You’ll always find a KCD2 storage chest conveniently placed near a bed you own or rent. So, whether you’re in your own house or just crashing for the night in a rented room, your magical, shared storage is always close by.
How to Get a Free Storage Chest
After you’re free to explore the world, you’ll start in Troskowitz. Head north to Tachov and look for Blacksmith Radovan. He’ll get you started with forging by giving you the quest “The Blacksmith’s Son.” This quest is basically a tutorial, so just follow the steps to learn the ropes and finish it. You’ll get some nice rewards for your trouble. Once you’re done, Radovan will let you sleep in the room by the woodshed, and he’ll point out the storage chest there for your belongings. You can use his forge whenever you want from then on.
