Ancient Shrine quest is among the quests that are available in the Charting the Unknown DLC pack of Crimson Desert. In relation to the Mistbound Sea quest chain, you will be required to go to the Phragma Islands, where you will explore an underwater shrine in search of the lost Serpent Relic. However, the process of obtaining this relic is not very straightforward because there is some puzzle-solving involved. Here’s how to find the shrine and complete the Ancient Shrine quest.
Ancient Shrine Quest
This particular mission, known as the “Ancient Shrine”, falls under the Mistbound Sea quest series in the Charting the Unknown expansion pack of Crimson Desert. The quest involves underwater exploration, finding the shrine entrance, and retrieving the relic hidden deep inside the ruins.
How To Complete The Ancient Shrine Quest
Travel to the Phragma Islands: Head to Vellua Port and sail southeast toward the Phragma Islands in the South Sea. Follow the quest marker to locate the underwater ruins.
Find the entrance of the shrine: Go underwater and look for the entrance to the shrine on the southeastern side of the ruins. The entrance is marked by a giant statue of a serpent, and the Pearl Moss Crocodile is present near the statue.
Locate the rotating lever: Enter the shrine and swim north to reach the rotating lever that is located on the wall.
Unlock the secret passage: Pull the protruding handle located at the bottom right of the rotating lever counterclockwise. This will make a trap door open from the floor.
Pass through the circular gate: Swim through the opened passageway until you reach a huge circular gate. Grab the gate and use your Resist and Force Palm skills to pass through.
Obtain the Serpent Relic: Exit the water in the shrine and climb the nearby stairway. Obtain the Serpent Relic that is sitting on the pedestal there.
Tip: Watch out for glowing red sea urchins near the rotating mechanism. Use Force Palm or Nature’s Snare to move them out of your way before operating the lever.
What Happens After The Ancient Shrine Quest
Once the Serpent Relic has been obtained, there will be a huge roar emanating from the Bergel Island, which lies southwest of the underwater shrine. The next quest after that is known as Catastrophe of Ancient Times. In this quest, you have to fight against the giant mechanical serpent known as Leviakan. You’ll need to destroy its energy sources to defeat it and complete the Mistbound Sea questline.
