The Reflex Device is an Accessory in the game Phantom Blade Zero which comes in handy when attempting to parry an attack and perform the Perfect Dodge manoeuvre. Both actions are made much easier with the Reflex Device, as it allows more time for them to be done successfully. But obtaining the Accessory entails some effort on the part of the gamer. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get the Reflex Device and upgrade it to improve its effects.
How To Get The Reflex Device

Reflex Device is an essential Accessory in Phantom Blade Zero, which helps expand your Parry and Perfect Dodge timeframes and allows for easier evasion of attacks and battling hard bosses. But there is a small issue in acquiring this Accessory – some of its parts are quite tricky to find.
First, we need to locate the Sha-Chi Furnace Inspection Crank. It is possible to obtain this accessory in the Valley Sha-Chi Tower Summit Bell zone right after meeting the Friendly Shadow Warden NPC.
Then, go down the road to the next main bell. On your way to it, you will find a hostile Shadow Warden. Defeat him to obtain the Sha-Chi Furnace Inspection Crank. If this does not yield the desired result, kill other enemies until you manage to get it. With this Accessory obtained, continue moving on and reach the Waterfall Bridge Bell.
First Use Of The Inspection Crank

There are two ways the Sha-Chi Furnace Inspection Crank can be used, and thus it would be wise to be careful the first time. From Waterfall Bridge Bell, go back and take the shortcut to the bottom of Sha-Chi Furnace. There is an opening that will let you use the Inspection Crank to obtain a Primal Stone.
Please be sure to take out the crank after using it because leaving it in the opening will not let you use it in the next step required for obtaining the Reflex Device. The obtained Primal Stone can be handed over to the Friendly Shadow Warden to further advance his quest, but that is optional for Accessory.
Get The Hunter’s Chain Sickle Ability
The next thing that you need is the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key. But before you are able to acquire this key, you need to progress more in the area. After you have the Waterfall Bridge Bell, continue your way to the Great Waterfall Bell. In the Great Waterfall Bell area, there is where you need to beat a boss named The Hunt, Sixfold-Scythe. The reward for defeating this boss is the Hunter’s Chain Sickle Phantom Edge Weapon.
Get The Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key

Having obtained the Chain Sickle ability, you should head back to the Valley Sha-Chi Tower Summit Bell. There will be an Anchor Point close to it that you will have to climb using the Chain Sickle. You will then get the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key.
Where To Use The Gate Key
Now, go to the Creek Valley Plains Entrance Bell. You will notice a locked gate there, and you can unlock it using the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key. There are many areas that you can explore after unlocking this gate, but what you need to do now is to head towards the Long Pillar Overlook Bell. Make sure that you follow the path going to the next bell, and get ready for some enemy attacks. It is better to defeat them the first time around.
Second Use Of The Inspection Crank
Travel to the Long Pillar Overlook Bell and head downwards towards the bottom of the Sha-Chi Furnace building. There is a Powderkeg enemy near there who you can entice into blowing a hole in the wall on your left. But you don’t have to take the route through this hole to get to your destination. Rather, travel along the sides of the building and up the stairs, where you will find the Valley Sha-Chi Tower Base Bell.
At this particular bell, find another slot where you can use the Sha-Chi Furnace Inspection Crank. When you put the crank inside the slot, a compartment will be opened up where you can retrieve the Reflex Device Accessory.
How To Upgrade The Reflex Device
Initially, the Reflex Device will provide you with a 15% buff to your Parry and Perfect Dodge windows. While it may not seem like a lot, having that additional 15% time will make a big difference when you are trying to execute your defensive actions against tough enemies and bosses.
In Chapter 3, there will be an NPC with whom you can upgrade your Accessories. With full upgrades for your Reflex Device, you will get a 25% buff instead of 15%. That means that it will be much easier to parry enemies and perform Perfect Dodges, especially in tough boss fights.
