Welcome to the Prison Yard in Poppy Playtime Chapter 4. This early section represents a great challenge to you: an enormous locked door is standing between you and freedom. Here is a step-by-step guide from collecting chains to finding the code, pulling levers, and eventually opening the way forward. Get ready to explore, solve puzzles, and work with your new ally Doey as you break free from prison!
How to Escape The Prison Yard
In Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, the prison is a key early location. You’ll team up with a new character, Doey, to get into the Prison Yard. Once there, you’ll find a massive locked door blocking your way. Your goal will then be to “Escape the Prison Yard” by figuring out how to open that door and move on.
Attach Chains
After talking with Doey, you’ll be able to move around. Your first step is to find four chains scattered around the Prison Yard and attach each of them to the handles on the big locked door. Once all four chains are connected, look around – you’ll find a lever near one of them.
You’ll notice that only one of the chains has a lever attached. You need to pick up that lever and put it into one of the empty slots on any of the other chains. Doey will then toss you another lever. Grab that one and put it in a different empty slot. You’ll be doing this a few times.
Prison Yard Code
Once all four chains are on the door, head to one of the prison towers near the hole you came through. Climb to the top and follow the catwalk to a tower with a locker that has a keypad.
To unlock the locker, you’ll need a code. Look at the whiteboard in the room – it shows a color sequence. To figure out the code numbers, you need to find numbers painted on the outside of each of the prison towers. One of the numbers, the one on the blue tower, is partially erased. But you can figure it out by looking at the other numbers – it’s 33.
So, the numbers you found on the towers correspond to the colors on the whiteboard: Blue (33), Green (30), Yellow (32), and Red (31). The code you need for the locker is the sequence of colors on the whiteboard, which translates to 3021.
Entering 3021 into the locker keypad gets you the last lever! Now you can go back down to the yard and attach it to the final empty slot on one of the chains. There’s a box blocking the stairs near the locker – move it to make getting back to the yard quicker.
With all the levers attached to the chains, it’s time to get to work! Pull each of the four levers, one after the other. Once you’ve pulled them all, the chains will start to pull the big metal door open. It’ll open slowly, so be patient.
