Tamahagane plays an important role in the upgrading of weapons in Onimusha: Way of the Sword, as you will have to use it to completely upgrade your weaponry. There are 25 pieces of Tamahagane that you can collect from all parts of the game; some are found in chests while others are rewarded to you after finishing certain missions or chance encounters. In this guide, we’ll show you the location of every Tamahagane so you can collect them all without missing any.
All Tamahagane Locations
25 Tamahagane are available to be collected in Onimusha: Way of the Sword. These Tamahagane may be obtained from chests around the game, as rewards for completing missions, or for completing some Chance Encounters. They are materials used in upgrading equipment, which will help you upgrade all of your equipment completely. In addition, collecting 25 Tamahagane is necessary to get access to the Dressed to Kill trophy and achievement. Below you can see the list of all 25 Tamahagane locations.

You’ll receive this Tamahagane as a mission reward, so you don’t need to search for it in a chest.

This one is inside a chest north of the Kamo River – East Spirit Mirror in Kyoto. Head to the area shown on the map and look for the chest.

Travel west from the Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Spirit Mirror. You’ll find a courtyard in this area with a chest containing the Tamahagane.

Head to the Dharma Hall Temple Grounds, located northeast of the Kamo River – East Spirit Mirror. Check the northwest corner of the temple grounds to find the chest.

You’ll receive this Tamahagane as a reward for completing the “The Light of Vengeance” mission.

From the Kiyomizu-zaka Slope Spirit Mirror, head northeast. You’ll find a chest containing the Tamahagane.
