Pure Quartz is an important resource in Palworld 1.0, even more so when you begin crafting advanced technology and equipment later on. While Pure Quartz can be found at various locations on the map, it is always helpful to know the best places for mining. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find Pure Quartz, the best locations to build a mining base, which Pals can help you farm it efficiently, and all the items you can craft using this valuable resource.

How To Get Pure Quartz In Palworld

Nodes of Pure Quartz consist of large jagged rocks that have sharp icy-blue colored crystals coming out from them. Pure Quartz may be mined by any type of Pickaxe; however, the Metal Pickaxe would be the more efficient option. It will allow you to mine more in a shorter amount of time.

Mine It In The Astral Mountains

The best way to collect Pure Quartz is to mine the crystal nodes located in the Astral Mountains in the northern section of the map (-205, 238). Because this area has a very low temperature, be sure to wear some sort of cold-resistant armour when going out there, as you will lose your health fast.

Pristine Snow Field

This location is found northwest of the Pristine Snow Field Fast Travel Point (-420, 461) and has only 6 Pure Quartz Crystal nodes (compared to other locations) but still makes for a great place to explore.

Land Of Absolute Zero

This place is located at coordinates (-134, 575), from the Land of Absolute Zero Fast Travel Point. This location will provide you with eight Pure Quartz Crystal nodes and two Ore nodes, which will offer you more resources to mine.

PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower Entrance

Travel north from the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower Entrance Fast Travel Point (-134, 575) to reach this farming spot. This location will offer you 9 Pure Quartz Crystal nodes.

Unthawable Lake

This area is located just to the west of the Unthawable Lake Fast Travel Point (-199, 249). It has 9 Pure Quartz Crystal nodes and 1 Ore node, thus being the place where you can establish a good mining base. 

How To Farm Pure Quartz Efficiently

The best way to farm Pure Quartz is by setting up a base near one of the mining locations. This lets your Pals mine the crystals automatically while you focus on other tasks. 

Make sure you assign Pals with Mining Level 3 or higher along with a few Pals that have the Transporting work skill to collect the materials after they’re mined. 

You’ll know you’ve found a Pure Quartz node because it has a bright, shiny appearance that’s easy to spot. Once you reach Level 50, you can unlock the Pure Quartz Mine using 5 Ancient Technology Points. To build it, you’ll need:

• Helzephyr is used as a transporting Pal that continues working even at night, making sure no materials are left on the ground.

• Verdash has Level 2 Planting and Level 2 Gathering, making it perfect for taking care of a couple of Berry Plantations.

• Gobfin with Level 2 Watering, it can easily keep two Berry Plantations watered and produce food for your workers.

Pals That Give Pure Quartz

In order to get Pure Quartz from Pierdon Cryst, you need to find the Pal first before catching it. This Pal can be found only in the Floating Biome (-398, -1638), where it can spawn in a certain section of the area located in the southern part of the biome. You can search for rocks which looks like crystals while exploring the biome. The appearance of Pierdon Cryst resembles other crystal rocks in the area, making it hard to spot. Take your time and look carefully around the area. Before you try to catch it, make sure you bring Spheres strong enough to capture it and use a Pal that can deal high damage to weaken it safely.
