At the beginning of each battle, you’ll choose a starting point on the map, and each starting point is guarded by troops led by one of these powerful companions. As you play, you can build stronger relationships with these companions, which will benefit you in various ways throughout your adventure.

9. Zhang Fei

Zhang Liao wields the Twin Pikes, and with them, he can quickly and elegantly move across the battlefield. The Twin Pikes, even if they don’t have fancy special moves, are very powerful weapons in one-on-one combat, so he can easily hoist enemies up into the air with a strong strike. Zhang Liao is an excellent hero character to pick if you are looking for a multi-purpose fighter who can easily change between the various fighting styles and does not require precise special abilities all the time.

7. Zhou Yu

Huang Gai is a fantastic choice if you need a durable and powerful ally in battle.
