All Slayer’s Fang Catalysts in Destiny 2

The Slayer’s Fang is a very powerful Exotic shotgun in Destiny 2, and its Catalysts can greatly improve its performance. Unlocking these Catalysts requires completing the “Revenant Slayer” quests, which are tied to the “Kell’s Fall” Exotic mission. From battling enemies in the mirror dimension to hunting Illusory Anchors on Expert difficulty, the journey to fully upgrade Slayer’s Fang is both challenging and rewarding. This guide will take you through the entire process, from starting the quests to choosing the best Catalyst for your playstyle.

Revenant Slayer Catalyst Quests for Slayer’s Fang

Once you complete the “Kell’s Fall” Exotic quest for the first time, you’ll be directed to return to Eido in her lab. There, she’ll have a brief chat with you and hand over four quests: “Revenant Slayer 1,” “Revenant Slayer 2,” “Revenant Slayer 3,” and “Revenant Slayer 4” all at once. Each quest requires you to defeat 20 enemies in the “Kell’s Fall” mission while a tonic is active. If you have all four quests in your inventory, they’ll progress together as you work toward this objective.

After that, you’ll need to destroy three sets of Illusory Anchors for each quest. Each set appears in a different location within the mission while playing on Expert difficulty. These Illusory Anchors are semi-transparent, floating shapes found in the mirror dimension sections of the mission. You can spot their outlines with the naked eye, but to see and shoot them, you’ll need to aim with the Slayer’s Fang shotgun. We’ll detail the locations of each set below.

Now you’ll need to complete the “Kell’s Fall” mission on Expert difficulty, which involves defeating the boss at the end. Once you’ve completed the mission, simply return to Eido to turn in the quests and claim your Catalysts. If you’re playing with a team, it’s best to have just one person shoot and destroy an Illusory Anchor at a time. There’s a strange co-op glitch in the mission that can cause some Anchors not to count for certain players if multiple Guardians shoot at them simultaneously. This could mean needing extra runs to get all 12 Illusory Anchors. To save time, take turns with your teammates instead.

Recommended Catalyst for Slayer’s Fang

Choosing the best Catalyst for Slayer’s Fang depends on whether you prefer defense or offense. Repulsor Brace is ideal for a defensive build, while Cascade Point suits an offensive playstyle. In PvE, both Catalysts focus on reload perks, but Slayer’s Fang already reloads all its shots with a single pellet, giving it excellent reload speed for a shotgun. Cascade Point shines in high-damage scenarios, allowing you to fire shots rapidly—perfect for situations where burst damage is key. Eventhough we have recommended the best catalyst for Slayer’s Fang, players can choose any catalyst that suit there playstyles.
