Crimson Desert’s Path of Trials is a cold, wind lashed Abyss puzzle that prioritizes traversal and environmental problem solving over combat. Players must navigate through icy surfaces and blast updrafts while thawing and repositioning a frozen power chip ( using lava pools and Axiom abilities ) to activate a console – complete the sequence to restore the Path of Trials Abyss and claim the Abyss Artifact.
Navigating to the Puzzle Chamber
Go forward from the Abyss Nexus after activating it and you’ll reach an area with a pool of ice water and icy platforms. You can jump on the platform and reach the wall that is shown in the above image or just use Aerial Force Palm and then glide over to the wall using Abyss Wings. Once you reach the wall, climb up the wall and you’ll reach a chamber which is to the right inside the room and there’s also another path which leads outside the room.
Deactivating the Device
Go through the icy path and you’ll reach the outside area where a mechanism lies. You need to deactivate the mechanism as it blocks the way forward in the chamber, just pull the battery which is near the mechanism to deactivate the device.
Then go back to the chamber area, turn left and get on the top most ledge, be careful while going up because the first ledge has a lava pool that you need to avoid.
Outside the room, there’s a socket and an energy chip but the only problem here is that the chip’s frozen. You need to unfreeze the chip before trying to fix it in the socket.
Unfreezing the Energy Chip
Bring the energy chip inside the room where the lava pool lies by using the Axiom Force to move the chip. Then dunk the chip inside the lava pool, I repeat it, dunk the chip completely, don’t just dip it. There will be a small blast indicating the melting of the ice.
Then use the Axiom Force on the lava pool where the chip lies and you can bring the chip back outside where the socket lies and fix the energy chip in the socket. This will activate the large button that lies on the wall.
Restoring The Abyss
Then use Force Palm on the large button to restore the Path of Trials Abyss and you can claim the Abyss Artifact.
