In Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, to complete Eleanor’s first side quest, you need to find all three required materials: Witherweed, Molted Gumshells, and Sucklebugs. These items are found across different parts of Azuria and nearby areas. Witherweed, Molted Gumshell & Sucklebug Location for Eleanor Side Quest 1
You can unlock this in Chapter 1 after finishing the main quest Amara’s Child. Once that quest is done, head to Azuria Castle and talk to Rudy. You will find it in Azuria, inside Azuria Castle. Talk to Eleanor near the stove at the Ranger’s Base inside Azuria Castle, then choose Side Story to begin. After that, the game will automatically take you to Sunpetal Plains Camp.
After the camp cutscene, you will be moved to a lookout point. Here, help Eleanor collect the materials she needs. Use the telescope to spot:
- Sucklebugs – usually hidden near large rocks
- Witherweed – dry-looking grass that stands out from normal grass
- Molted Gumshells – dropped by Paolumu
Witherweed Location
Head north of Sunpetal Plains Camp to the small lake. The Witherweed is near the rock wall.
Sucklebug Location
Go to the small island southwest of Azuria Castle in Mirror Lake. Once you arrive, break the blue ore rock with an attack or a breath skill to collect the Sucklebug.
Molted Gumshells Location
Go near the Sunpetal Plains Path Catavan Stand and bring a monstie that has a Breath ability. Find a Paolumu and use the breath attack on it. This will make it drop the Molted Gumshells.
After collecting everything, return to Sunpetal Plains Camp. A cutscene will start there. If nothing happens, walk a short distance away and then come back to Eleanor until the scene triggers. The quest will end once the cutscene finishes.
