How to unlock the Blacksmith’s chest in Eternal Rift

If you want to open the locked door above the Blacksmith, you will need to complete the “Putrid Paradise” myth first. This side quest is set in the Heian Era. During the mission, you will find a warrior who is stuck in a swamp. He needs your help to get out. Finish this quest, and it will reward you with a Blackened Key.
Putrid Paradise in Nioh 3


To unlock Putrid Paradise, you will need to find Tatsumaro in Rajomon, Hachijo. He is sitting on top of a submerged house in the flooded area. Climb up and talk to him to unlock the quest. From there, go north till you reach a dryland. Once you are there, turn right and move past a broken wall. Get inside the bath with Tatsumaro and talk to him. After the conversation, he will ask for your help getting back home.
Tatsumaro’s house is located at the southern end of Rajomon. Help him reach his home, and after completing the mission, go back to the small cave located underneath the Blacksmith, you will find Tatsumaro waiting there. Talk to him and give him some dung balls, and in return, he will give you a few Smithing Texts and the Blackened Key.
