Entwined Realities is one of those Path of Exile 2 passives that sounds powerful at first, but can be confusing when you actually try to use it. Many players expect it to unlock big shortcuts across the passive tree, only to realise it works in a much more limited way. This guide will tell you how it really works, when it’s worth taking, and when you’re better off skipping it entirely.
How to Use Entwined Realities

Entwined Realities allows you to choose the non-Keystone passives within a very limited area around the Keystone that you have selected. This node will not function unless the Keystone has been assigned first. The range is limited, so it won’t let you jump across the passive tree or unlock entire clusters.
The node is only worth taking while a Keystone is really close to the effective passives of your build. In this case, it can reduce the number of passive points needed by skipping the travel nodes. If the surrounding passives are not very good or don’t support your build, Entwined Realities offers nothing.
You have to take The Unseen Paths before Entwined Realities. This is important because the Unseen Paths can create additional Notables next to Keystones. If those new Notables are good for your build, Entwined Realities becomes more useful. If not, it changes nothing.
You can ignore Entwined Realities if all you’re getting is a small stat that does not justify the point, and the nearby passives are not useful for your build. Also, if the Keystone has a downside you can’t afford and if you’re expecting big shortcuts across the tree.
Difficulty in Using Entwined Realities
Currently, Oracle’s Entwined Realities can be difficult to use because it’s not something you can invest points into. A majority of the tree’s keystones force the players to build entirely around them, so getting a few points here and there can change up your whole setup. Additionally, there are very few strong and useful nodes near the keystones, which makes the values even lower.
This is why the ascendency node of 4 points is not available for Entwined Realities. It would work better if the 2-point node didn’t create jumps across the tree, and instead, the 4-point node let you skip notables. Maybe tying it to revealed paths or special interactions would make it feel more impactful.
At first glance, Entwined Realities appears to be a good option, but by the time you look at the radius and position of it, you will see that it doesn’t give you much unless the nearby keystone is already on your plan. Moreover, some players thought that the passive was not working at all, only to realise later that it doesn’t let you get completely disconnected nodes.
