How to Get Animals in Octopath Traveler 0
To start raising livestock in Octopath Traveler 0, you’ll first need to make some progress in the Kindlers of the Flame storyline. After you finish the gardening quest in Wishvale, you’ll automatically get the task to set up a ranch.
Building the ranch is simple; you just need 30 Cloth and 15 Lumber. Once it’s ready, you must assign someone to run it. Make sure to pick a resident whose skill fits ranch work. If you don’t have anyone suitable yet, head over to Theatropolis and invite the Pushy Farmer. He’s the easiest and most useful person for the job.
After the ranch is staffed, talk to your ranch worker to choose what livestock to raise. Every battle you win will help fill up the ranch’s progress bar. Using Single or Double BP to break enemy shields makes the process faster. Once you’ve completed enough battles, return to the ranch and collect your rewards.
How to Talk to Animals in Octopath Traveler 0
Once you reach Kindlers of the Flame – Chapter 4, you’ll unlock the Sacred Flame Dais. This lets you toss in Azure Flamestones to activate special features. Every time you use one Flamestone, you get to pick a new ability.
If you want to chat with animals, choose the Animal Whisperer feature. After unlocking it, you’ll be able to understand and talk to animals just like you do with regular NPCs, opening up new bits of dialogue and interactions.
