If you want to attend the Heroes’ Assembly in Where Winds Meet, you’ll first need to pass the Songstress Test. This challenge takes place during the Water Lady storyline and asks you to disguise yourself, follow clues, and eventually prove your identity by playing a melody on a set of drums. It’s a short but fun puzzle, and once you know the correct order, it’s easy to clear. Here’s how the whole test works from start to finish.
How to Pass the Songstress Test

Start the puzzle by speaking with the Nine Mortal Ways Disciple in Kaifeng City. He’ll tell you a bit about the Water Lady, and after the short cutscene, follow him into Seclusion. There, he explains what you need to do to get into the Heroes’ Assembly.
Once you put on your disguise as Master Jiang Yi, head over to the Revelry Hall Manager and talk to her to enter the hall. She’ll sing a short melody first, and then ask you to repeat it on the drums. Hit the drums in the correct order to prove you really are Master Jiang Yi. Do it right, and you’ll be allowed into the Heroes’ Assembly.
Songstress Test Solution

In order to solve the Songstress Bai Rong riddle, it is necessary to play the drums in a certain sequence from left to right. Begin with the fourth one, then the fifth one, and after that, return to the first one, then the third, and finally the second.
The picture above gives a better view of the sequence. It indicates the exact drum order so that the “Shadows in Bloom” side quest becomes very simple to understand. If you can play the melody correctly, speak to Bai Rong once more. She will be pleased and will give you her Peach Blossom Boat as a reward, which you can use to get to the Heroic Assembly.
