If you’re trying to complete the March of the Dead quest in Where Winds Meet, you’ll need to track down three important items hidden throughout the Ghostlight. This guide will tell you how to start the quest, where to find Liu Changsheng, and exactly how to collect the Armor, Helmet, and Spear without getting lost in the area.
How to Start the March of The Dead Quest
To unlock the Jianghu Legacy – March of the Dead quest, you first need to complete the Worldly Affairs: Bounty Trouble quest at the Ghostlight Market. Once that’s finished, just change the in-game time to Mao hour while you’re still at the market, and the new quest will activate.
Find the Chest Holding the Three Items
To start your adventure in the spectral realm, head over to the Ghostlight Market. Look for Liu Changsheng near the stairs that lead to the main path. Talk to him, and he’ll fill you in on what’s going on. He’ll then ask you to collect three important items from a lost spirit: an Armour piece, a Helmet, and a Spear.
Mountain Armour Location
From Liu Changsheng, start by heading to the right. Follow the path, you’ll pass the Boundary Stone and an NPC.
Keep going until you reach a dock-like area. Here, you’ll see green lanterns floating above the water. Follow these lanterns, and they’ll guide you all the way to a rock at the end of the path. There’s a chest on top of it; open it to get the Armour.
Battle Helmet Location
Head back to where you first met Liu Changsheng, then take the path on the left. Keep going until you reach a market stall; this is where Nan Lugong is hiding again. To the right of his stall, there’s a small path. Follow it, sticking close to the green lanterns as they guide you forward.
You’ll soon see a few ghostly figures. Don’t engage them, just walk past. Behind them, you’ll find a pier area with wooden platforms. One of those platforms has a chest on it. Open it to get the helmet.
Iron Spear Location
Go back to Nan Lugong’s stall and walk just a little past it. On the side, you’ll see a staircase; take those stairs up. At the top, go straight and stay toward the left. You’ll spot another lantern up ahead. From there, take the next set of stairs leading upward.
Once you’re up the second staircase, turn left and keep running straight. You’ll cross a bridge where a Spectral Soldier is standing guard. Right past the bridge, you’ll see another lantern with a man named Xiang Gutong standing beside it.
Talk to Xiang Gutong, and he’ll show you where to find the Iron Spear. It’s in a chest just ahead, right behind a group of Spectral Soldiers. When you’re ready, sprint past them, grab the Iron Spear from the chest, and then quickly run back following your objective marker to return to Liu Changsheng safely.
