In the quest Mysterious Colossus in Where Winds Meet, opening the stone door can be a little confusing because the game doesn’t really indicate what is needed to trigger the mechanism. This guide will show you exactly how to do it, while also notifying you of the hidden items in the area you should look out for. Follow along, and you will get through the quest without wasting any time.
What To Do First
Upon reaching the stone door area for the Mysterious Colossus quest you will see two NPCs stuck in an emote. But do not rush into the puzzle, there is useful loot in the area that you should gather before finishing it up.
Picking Collectibles & Preparing Your Build
- There’s a signpost nearby where Liu’Xia presents you with the book—Song of Longing.
- Two secret chests can be found by circling the area.
- Several Buddha’s Tears (these are scarce later on, so grab them now).
Collect all of those, then head back to the original starting point by looping left around the stairs.
To prepare your build, open your Develop menu and go into Skills. From there, select Mystic Skills and look in the Puzzles section. Slot the Meridian Touch ability into any available skill slot.
Solving the Puzzle
- With Meridian Touch equipped, use Immobilize on each of the two frozen figures.
- After both are immobilized, interact with the offering near the door.
- The door should now open and allow you to continue the quest.
Note: Make sure you picked up the items around the door before you finish the puzzle as some are easy to miss and useful later.
