The Silent Witnesses quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Mysteria Ecclesiae, becomes available along with Prevention, which you should complete first to earn the plague mask, a key item that will help you later in the story. In Silent Witnesses, you will be sneaking through camps and crypts, questioning suspects, and uncovering dark secrets hidden beneath the church. Follow the steps below to complete the quest without missing anything.
Silent Witnesses Quest
When you start the Silent Witnesses quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Mysteria Ecclesiae, you will also unlock another quest called Prevention. It’s a good idea to complete that one first since it rewards you with a plague mask, which will be very useful later in the story. Once you’re ready, follow the steps below to complete Silent Witnesses.
Talk to Workman Loyza at the Camp
When you reach the camp, speak to Loyza. You can choose one of these dialogue options:
- “Scratch my back…” If your Coercion or Intimidation skills are high, you can pick “Spit out everything you know” or “I’m coming down with something,” but doing so will lower your reputation.
- “Look what I’ve got.” Give Loyza two Schnapps to make him talk.
Once he agrees to help, ask him about everything, the church and the crypt, to gather information.
Find the Golden Crucifix
Next, go to the workers’ camp located outside the church wall. Look for a locked chest there and unlock it using a lockpick. Inside, you will find a golden crucifix. Take it to progress further in the quest.
Enter the Church and Reach the Crypt
From the camp, head southeast to find a ladder leading into the church. Once inside, go left and listen to the conversation between two people. When one of them leaves, distract the remaining worker by throwing a rock to lure him away. Quickly move forward, climb down through the collapsed floor, and open the eastern door to enter the crypt.
Explore the Crypt
Inside the crypt, complete the following objectives:
- Investigate the area, and inspect the tomb.
- Pick up the filthy parchment found there. You can also grab a hunting sword hidden behind one of the tombs; it will come in handy soon.
Escape the Crypt
Break through a wall near the crypt entrance, then quietly climb up the ladder to avoid detection. After escaping, go up the ladder to reach the church again, and use the western door to exit safely. Sneak past the guards on your way back to the infirmary.
Talk to Albich and Investigate the Room
Once you’re back, enter the room at the back of the infirmary and talk to Albich. Choose the following dialogue options:
- “What are you talking about?”
- “Who could’ve done it?”
After the conversation, inspect the southeast corner of the room to examine the scattered items, and also check the door lock for clues.
Question Denes and Benedict
Next, speak with Denes and Benedict in the infirmary.
- Ask Denes if anyone entered your room.
- Ask Benedict if he noticed anything unusual.
Finally, return to Albich in your room and share everything you’ve learned. This will complete the Silent Witnesses quest.
