How to Find Field Crates in ARC Raiders

Searching for Field Crates in ARC Raiders can be rewarding, but finding them can also perplex players. Each crate is tied to Field Depots, which are located throughout each map. Finding these crates involves thorough searching and some risk factors. In this guide, we have discussed everything—where to look, how to identify Field Crates, and how to drop them off efficiently.

Why are Field Depots Important?

Field Depots are an essential component of the game. There are several Field Depots available in each map located on fixed spots instead of random locations. If you have never seen one before, look for a building that has a large antenna on top, as well as a satellite dish that typically looks beaten-up and rusty.

Scattered around the Field Depots are Field Crates. These are not like other loot boxes; in fact, your character will need to carry them with two hands, which slows you down and does not let you use your gear until you drop it. The goal is to take the crate inside the depot and trade the crate in for a reward.

How to Locate the Crates

While looking through the maps, you might come across Field Crates, but they will not always be in plain sight for you. If this is your first time looking for it, then the least painful place to learn the loop would be the Dam Battlegrounds map. Travel to one of the Field Depots there, check around the building, and try to find a silver metal crate. But remember, you either need to clear out the immediate enemies, or sneak around until the heat dies down. You’ll need a bit of breathing room to search for the crate properly.

What you’re looking for is a small metal box. Once you approach it, you’ll see an interaction prompt that lets you pick it up. Crates are usually placed on the ground. If it’s not obvious, check corners, inside buildings, and even inside cabinets or tucked spots—some can be annoyingly well hidden.

Note: High-value loot zones are often fruitful. On Dam Battlegrounds, the Control Tower region, the Power Generation Complex, and the Hydroponic Dome Complex are worth checking.

Turning in the Crate

When you’ve got one in your hands, bring it over to a Supply Station terminal. These machines are located inside Field Depots and in a few other marked places. Interact with the machine to drop off the crate and collect your reward. If you manage to stay alive, you can repeat the turn-in more than once during the same run.
