All Choices & Outcomes in Dispatch Episode 5 (Complete Guide)

Dispatch Episode 5 picks up exactly where the previous chapter left off, diving deeper into Robert’s story and his connection to the Z-Team. Choices in this episode focus on relationships, hidden truths, and moral boundaries. Each decision you make further defines what kind of hero Robert is and what kind of person.

The episode opens with Robert working out in the gym, lost in thought about his previous fight. While he’s doing bench presses, Flambae notices him, and you get a few dialogue choices. You can respond however you like; it won’t affect the story that much.

  • Thanks for babysitting me
  • I’m no normie
  • Heroes get hurt.

Outcome (Past Choice): During this moment, Robert brings up the “injury” you gave Flambae back in Episode 1. Depending on what you chose earlier, he’ll mention either her singed eyebrows or the tooth you knocked out.

After this brief interaction, you will proceed to the break room, where Malevola and Prism are seated in the middle of a conversation about your identity. Again, your available options in this dialogue do not affect any sort of outcome, so choose one that fits you like.

Talking with Chase

Once out of the break room, the scene cuts back to Robert fiddling with his suit, Chase sitting next to him. It is at this time that Chase asks if you intend to kill Shroud. This is one of the pivotal points of the episode, in which the game remembers your response. You can respond in a manner that is uncertain, principled, or sure of yourself. Your tone will dictate how others perceive Robert for the rest of the episode.

  • I was blue.
  • No hints.
  • I’m double-jointed.

After this chat, you’ll talk to Chase for a moment. You’ll get three dialogue choices, and he will remember what you pick:

  • Yes
  • I’m not sure…
  • Heroes don’t kill people

Once that conversation wraps up, you’ll move into your second shift for the day.

A Night at the Sardine Bar

Not long later, you get a call to join the team at the Sardine Bar. If you went to the movies with Invisigal in the previous episode, you find her inside the bar waiting for a chat. She mentions going to a movie with you last time, and you have to choose how to respond. Calling it either a date or just hanging out will affect how she feels about you from here on.

Your first choice here affects your relationship with Invisigal:

  • I had a good time – increases your relationship
  • We can just be friends – keeps things neutral
  • That wasn’t a date – lowers your relationship

After that, you’ll get a few sets of dialogue options.

Options Set 1 (no consequences):

  • I am a narc
  • Been doing this long?
  • You’re buying next

Options Set 2 (no consequences):

  • Is that all you got?
  • Stand down, immediately
  • I’m not done with you yet

Options Set 3 (this one will be remembered):

  • Relax. I’m leaving
  • Let me buy you a drink
  • Since you twisted my arm…

Bar Conversations

Once inside, you can talk to the rest of the team and choose between several lines during the conversations. These are mostly for flavour, so pick whatever ones seem natural to you.

Finally, when things wind down, the Z-Team heads outside a food joint nearby to cool off. As everyone is eating, Punch Up looks towards you and asks who you really are. This becomes a big turning point in the episode, as now you will have to choose whether to reveal your true identity.

If you say that you’re Robert, Flambae will ask you why you never told them, though he will eventually lighten the mood and introduce himself. If you say you’re Mecha Man, the atmosphere changes altogether. Everyone’s in a state of disbelief. Flambae loses his head and unleashes fire upon you. Golem intervenes, saving you from him. Depending on the choices you’ve been making along the way, either Waterboy or Malevola could also jump into the fray and diffuse things.

  • I’m Robert (Hide the truth)
  • I’m Mecha Man (Reveal the truth)

Eventually, down either path, the moment settles into a place where everyone shares their real name. The tension fades, the team starts to open up to one another, and the episode ends on a reflective note with Robert’s identity and choices now out in the open.
