When you first start scavenging the surface in ARC Raiders, the amount of loot can feel overwhelming — but some of the most valuable resources aren’t the rarest-looking ones. Prickly Pears and Olives fall into that category. You’ll need both for Scrappy’s Level 4 upgrade, and while they can also restore stamina mid-raid, tracking them down can take time if you don’t know where to look.
This guide details exactly where to find Prickly Pears and Olives across the Dam Battleground, Buried City, and Blue Gate maps.
How to Find Prickly Pears
Prickly Pears grow near cactus-like plants scattered across the Dam Battleground and Buried City maps. They’re small and easy to miss, especially on lower graphics settings, but you can spot them by their thick green pads and spiny look.
Interact with the ground near these cacti to pick up the fruit. Note that the spawn rate is low and another raider may have already collected them, so don’t get discouraged if your first few runs don’t yield anything.
Best Prickly Pear Locations
Dam Battleground
You’ll find clusters of cactus plants in two reliable areas:
- North of the Power Generation Complex, near where the two major roads converge.
- Just below the Research & Administration building, outside of the red boundary line.
Buried City
The Buried City has denser cactus clusters than the Dam Battleground. Try checking out:
- The southern edge of the map is just beyond Old Town’s southern boundary.
- Eastern spawn point, with several cacti growing near the edge.
- The northeastern corner, next to some abandoned buildings.
If you farm specifically for Scrappy’s upgrade, prioritize Buried City — it will be way more efficient.
Where to Find Olives
When you’re done hunting for Prickly Pears, your next stop will be the Olive Grove on the Blue Gate map. This is the best and most consistent place to farm Olives in ARC Raiders.
The Olive Grove is exactly what it sounds like — a small orchard packed with trees that drop olives when interacted with. You’ll often find them lying on the ground near the outskirts, but you can also kick the trees to knock down a few extras.
It’s also a great farming route to combine with other quests like With a Trace, A First Foothold, or Reduced to Rubble since they’re close by.
Farming Tips
The Olive Grove is a hotspot for other players, especially those after fruit for upgrades. Expect some competition.
- If you’re solo farming, bring a cheap loadout but use your Secure Pocket to store olives so you don’t lose them if you die.
- The chances of finding Olives, Lemons, Apricots, and Mushrooms all go up when the Lush Blooms map modifier is active.
- Keep your eyes out for woven baskets – they frequently have extra Nature items.
