All Six Orbs Location in Dragon Quest 3 Remake

In Dragon Quest 3 Remake, collecting all six Orbs is a crucial part of your journey, each requiring you to explore different locations, solve puzzles, and overcome tough challenges. These Orbs are scattered across the world. In this guide, we will walk you through the locations of each Orb and what you need to do to acquire them.

All Six Orbs Location

In Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, you will need to collect six coloured Orbs. These Orbs are key to awakening the Everbird, which lets you fly across the world. Although flying is a bit slow, it makes travelling much easier since you won’t encounter battles, and you will be able to access areas that were previously unreachable. Following are all the locations of the six orbs:

Orbs

Location
Red OrbAliahan
Yellow OrbEast of Persistence
Green OrbTheddon
Blue OrbGaia’s Naval
Purple OrbJipang
Silver OrbNecrogrond

The Red Orb

The Red Orb is one of the easiest orbs to find. Just head east from Aliahan to the Pirate’s Den and look for a glowing statue. Move the statue to uncover a hidden staircase that leads to a secret area. Go down the stairs, grab the treasures, and you’ll find the Red Orb among them.

The Yellow Orb

To get the Yellow Orb, you will need to help build a new town, which starts as a small, unnamed settlement east of Persistence. Hire a Merchant and settle them in the town to help it grow. Check in the town from time to time – the game will give you hints about when it’s time to return. Eventually, the townspeople will imprison the Merchant for poor management and greed. Once the Merchant is in jail, visit him, and he will reveal a clue about a hidden treasure behind the throne in their mansion. Search the throne to find the Yellow Orb.

The Green Orb

You can find the Green Orb in Theddon, a town that’s quiet and deserted during the day but comes alive after dark. To get to it, you’ll need the Ultimate Key. Spend the daylight hours exploring and getting to know the layout of the prison. When night falls, return to free the prisoner. Inside, you’ll face Dying Fires and Phantasms. Once you defeat the enemies, the prisoner will reward you with the Green Orb as thanks for your help.

The Blue Orb

You can get the Blue Orb by completing a solo trial at Gaia’s Naval, which you can reach from Lanson. Talk to a priest in northern Lanson, and they will guide you to the trial. As you move through the trial, you’ll encounter weaker monsters, but the real challenge comes at the end with the boss, Chiromancer, who is usually accompanied by Mad Vlad. After defeating the boss, head to the treasure room to collect the Blue Orb and any other loot before you leave.

The Purple Orb

To get the Purple Orb, you’ll need to go to Jipang, a town suffering under the terror of the dragon Orochi. As you explore, you’ll uncover the town’s dark tradition of offering women as sacrifices to the beast. Start by finding Yayoi, the current sacrifice, who’s hidden in a basket in the northwest cellar of the town. She will tell you where Orochi’s cave is, located to the east. After you defeat him the first time, Orochi will retreat to the main hall of Jipang. In the second battle after defeating Orochi once and for all, you’ll be rewarded with the Purple Orb.

The Silver Orb

To get the Silver Orb, you will need to complete a few tasks. Start by sailing south of Ashem to reach the volcano. Once there, toss the Mountain Cleaver into its core. This will trigger a volcanic eruption, creating a hardened lava path that leads to the Maw of the Necrogrond. The dungeon is full of tough enemies and you will also come across several Liquid Metal Slimes. After clearing the dungeon, head to the shrine located east of Necrogrond to claim the Silver Orb. Gather all six Orbs and make your way to the Shrine of the Everbird, located on a snowy island in the southern part of the map.
