How to Start the Bards Riddle
After you beat Zoma, go back to the Dragon Queen’s Castle. Keep exploring until you find a bright light inside. Go through the light to reach Heaven. From there, find the Mysterious Cave to the north. Climb your way through the cave, defeating monsters along the way. Once you reach the top floor, you’ll be transported to Cloudsgate Citadel.
Once you get to Cloudsgate Citadel, go to the King to let him know you’re there. Then, head to the room in the top right part of the castle. Inside, you’ll find a Bard who will ask you to solve three riddles. He’ll compliment your strength but say, ‘I wonder if you’re as smart as you are strong.’ Each riddle will lead you to a specific place, and if you solve them, find the related items, and give them to the bard, you’ll get great rewards.
First Bards Riddle
“Ohhh, what’s that ‘neath the trident in the sad, shattered town? ‘Tis a glitter, a glister, a star ‘pon the grooound? Shilderal-dilderal-dooo!””Ohhh, what’s that ‘neath the trident in the sad, shattered town? ‘Tis a glitter, a glister, a star ‘pon the grooound? Shilderal-dilderal-dooo!”
Location: The answer you should be thinking of is Theddon. Theddon is really lively at night but quiet during the day. So, you’ll need to go there during the day when it’s the most deserted. Once you’re there, go to the church and interact with the trident.
Item Required: Beast Claws
Second Bards Riddle
“Ohhh, a town in a land girt about with the dark… And there, ‘mid the flowers, a treasure, a spaaaark. Helderal-daldarall-daaa!””
Location: Okay, the answer is Cantlin. Look for the house where you found the Broken Blade. There are some plants in front of it. Interact with those plants.
Item Required: Dark Robe
Third Bards Riddle
“With his eyes on the skies, the stargazer, replete… With wonders above, see’th not those at his feeet! Humdaree-dumdaree-hooo!”
Location: The answer is Lozamii. It’s located on the right side of the world map, near the little sun symbol. In the eastern part of the town, you’ll find an observatory. Go inside, go up the stairs, and interact with the space to the right of the astronomer.
Item Required: Sage’s Stone
After you solve the three riddles, the Bard will have one more thing to tell you. He’ll tell you that there are 110 mini-medals hidden all over the world. He’ll also tell you how many of them you’ve already found.
