All Lighthouse Chest Locations – Dragon Age: The Veilguard

More than just a wonder of architecture and history, the ancient Lighthouse of Miranthous puts your problem-solving skills to the test-through the ingenious puzzles of statuettes to magical portal activations, each step of this enigmatic journey brings you closer to rare rewards, powerful items, and deep lore. This guide will walk you on the labyrinthine course of solving puzzles, unlocking doors, and claiming your own rewards deep within the Lighthouse.

First Lighthouse Chest Location

To find the secret chests, you first need to solve the Lighthouse statue puzzle. Once you do, you’ll unlock the music room. This room has a portal that leads to hidden parts of the Lighthouse. One of the secret chests is also located here.

Here’s how to align each pair of statues:

First Pair: Stand in front of the handles at the statues’ bases on the exterior stairs platform and rotate them to face each other. If done correctly, green glowing wisps will appear and move toward the building.

Second Pair: Go to the statue at the southwestern staircase and turn it to face east, if it isn’t already. Next, go across the courtyard to the dining hall, head up the stairs to the hall’s southeast corner, and find a second statue. Rotate it to face west.

Third Pair: For the statue behind Neve’s room, face the entrance walkway and drop down onto a lower broken walkway leading to a basement level. There, you’ll find the statue; turn it to face west. The statue behind Bellara’s room is easier to find, just circle around the platform edge to the left of her room’s entrance and rotate it to face east.

After you switch a pair of statues, a magical spark will appear. Once you’ve switched all the pairs, go to the main hall. You’ll see a new door on the right side. Go through it to reach the music room.

  • Enter the Music Room and find the first Wisp.
  • Go to the Music Room after unlocking other characters to find the Caretaker. He’ll tell you that there are new helpers in the Lighthouse called Wisps.
  • And tell you the second Wisp is between the two statues in the courtyard.
  • Go back to the courtyard where you solved the statue puzzle. Climb one of the spiral staircases to find the Wisp between the two statues in the middle.
  • Grab the Wisp and return to the Music Room to place it.
  • Go through the portal to reach the Library Balcony in the Lighthouse. Fix the astrolabe there. And you will be able to upgrade the Caretakers Workshop.
  • Go to the Library Balcony and grab the Wisp. Take it back to the Music Room and place it. This will open a new portal.
  • Go through the portal to reach the Watchtower. The first secret chest is located here.
  • Opening the chest will give you a weapon, a valuable item, and some gold. You’ll also find a Codex entry to the right of the chest.

Second Lighthouse Chest Location

  • Activate the Laser: Power up the laser at the Watchtower using the nearby power crystal.
  • Charge the Crystals: Charge the crystals located at the top of three towers surrounding the lighthouse. You can charge them in any order.
  • Unlock the Door: Once all crystals are charged, a Wisp will flow into the lighthouse and unlock the last closed door in the library.
  • Find the Chest: The second treasure chest is located behind this newly unlocked door.
  • Enter the Music Room: Go through the warp tunnels until you reach the Music Room.
  • Open the Door: Exit the Music Room into the main library area. You’ll see a lit-up door. Approach it to open it.
  • Enter the Storage Area: Go through the newly opened door into a small storage area.
  • Teleport to Solas’ Den: Enter the warp tunnel in the storage area.
  • Explore Solas’ Den: In Solas’ den, you’ll find:
    • A Codex entry
    • Materials
    • A smaller chest
    • The main treasure chest
  • Open the Treasure Chest: Opening the main treasure chest rewards you with:
    • A weapon
