Arc Raiders Field Crates are on-foot loot targets that you can collect randomly throughout the world. Simply grab one, deliver it to a Field Depot, and have it brought to the Supply Station inside to earn your reward. You’ll find that the mechanic will typically appear in quest missions with tasks such as “Travel to a Field Depot,” “Deliver a Field Crate to a Supply Station,” or “Pick up the reward.”
If you’ve been walking along with a crate and don’t know what to do with it — the solution’s simple: go to the closest depot and surrender it.
Dropping Off a Field Crate

When you’ve spotted a Field Crate, do the following:
- Pick up the crate as you see it.
- Find a close-by Field Depot — find the building with a satellite dish installed outside.
- Take the crate indoors and arrange with the Supply Station to have it delivered.
- Pick up your payoff, which completes any associated mission objectives.
- Having delivered, you can now extract or keep pushing out and raiding the zone.
Field Depot Drop (Crate Puzzle)
Field Depots aren’t only for crate turning in — you can even have a repeatable challenge in the form of the Field Depot Drop. To start it, you must solve the crate puzzle at the depot.
Every time you do, the loot refreshes, so you can re-run it several times a trip.
| Feature | Details |
| Access | Solve the crate puzzle at the depot |
| Repeatability | Yes — loot replenishes with each success |
| Typical total items | 4–7 |
| Ammo | 2–4 stacks |
| Gadgets | 0–2 |
| Grenades | 0–3 |
| Medical | 0–3 |
| Weapon | 0–1 |
(Tip: If your squad has time, repeat the puzzle to stock up before moving on. The refresh mechanic makes depots reliable mid-run resupply points when you’re running low on ammo, throwables, or meds.)
How Field Depots Compare to Other Raider Supplies
Field Depots are one of several world interactions that provide mixed loot. If you’re deciding where to spend time mid-raid, here’s a quick breakdown:
| Raider Supply | How to Access | Expected Rewards |
| Field Depot Drop | Finish the depot crate puzzle; restart to reload | 4–7 items; 2–4 ammo; up to 2 gadgets, 3 grenades, 3 medical, 1 weapon |
| Supply Drop | Purchase one in with a supply radio; not much waiting | 5–7 items; 2–4 ammo; up to 2 gadgets, 2 grenades, 2 medical |
| Buried Raider Cache | Listen for ticking timers (normal during cache events) | 3–7 items; 2–4 ammo; up to 2 gadgets, 2 grenades, 2 medical |
| Raider Bag | Located in important rooms, under rubble, or in corners | 4–7 items; often higher-tier or rarer loot |
If you’re already holding a crate, heading to a Field Depot is the best way to guarantee a payout — and access to a bonus loot puzzle while you’re there. If you’re empty-handed and far from a depot, consider calling in a Supply Drop or hunting a Buried Cache instead.
Other Loot Containers Near Depots
