If you’re diving into Pokémon Legends: Z-A and looking to add some cool Pokémon to your team, Honedge is definitely one worth hunting for. This Ghost/Steel-type Pokémon has a unique look and is pretty interesting in battle with its sword-like body.
But don’t expect to find it just anywhere or anytime—it only shows up at night, and in a very specific spot. So, if you are determined to catch one, it is crucial to know where and when to look for it.
Where to Find Honedge in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Honedge can be found in Wild Zone 4 but only nighttime. It will never be found during the day at all, so do this first: sleep or lay down somewhere nearby or head to Hotel Z. Let time pass until nighttime when Honedge will start spawning.
When the stars come out, make your way over to the southeast corner of Wild Zone 4, near the cemetery. That’s where Honedge is most likely to show up. It’s less common than some other Pokémon, so you may be waiting a bit to look. Watch for it near the major routes and behind some of the gravestones, and eventually one will float by. You really do need to be patient here.
How to Evolve Honedge

Once you’ve caught your Honedge, the second thing you’ll need to do is level it up and take it to evolve. Honedge will evolve into Doublade when it reaches level 35, which is a fairly substantial increase in power.
But the catch is—its final evolution, Aegislash, won’t happen by leveling up. You’ll need to obtain a special item called a Dusk Stone. You can obtain Dusk Stones in Lumiose City at the Emporium on Vernal Avenue, or even find them lying around as hidden pickups in the city once in a while. When a Dusk Stone is used on Doublade, the latter immediately evolves into the cool and powerful Aegislash. So keep these stones close since they’re very crucial to completing this evolution chain.
