October has started, and Halloween is upon us! Spooky? Guess not, since most of the games are releasing new and exciting events for this time of the year. A few games have already started their Halloween events, or some titles such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, GTA Online, and many more are including their events soon.
Here is a collected list of some of the biggest games and their Halloween events this year.
GTA Online
Of course, the list had to kick off with GTA. Who saw that coming, right?
GTA Online is presenting its players with an entire month of spooky elements as its Halloween Haunts update. Threats are hovering over Los Santos, from zombies, killer clowns, to UFO abductions.
- The Zombie Survival mode features the Cayo Perico and Ludendorff Cemetery.
- A new Ramius Slasher mode sees players fleeing a killer aboard the confines of the Ramius Submarine.
Halo Infinite
Operation Haloween 2 is ready to commence! Halo Infinite is celebrating Halloween with this event, and it features brand new costumes that players can collect and a Survive the Undead playlist.
Call Of Duty
The Haunting, Call of Duty’s annual Halloween event, has returned, and it comes packed with new characters such as the Predator, Jason Voorhees, and Chucky. It’s October 9th, get ready to immerse yourself in this exciting event and experience the new characters!
The developers still haven’t revealed all the details for the events yet, but Call of Duty players can surely expect new spooky-themed maps and modes like usual.
Fortnite
This year’s Fortnitemares might be a blast for both gamers and K-pop fans since it is expected that a certain trio of fictional K-pop stars from Netflix will be included. The events of this annual update haven’t been announced yet, but there have been promising leaks suggesting it’ll start soon. It is expected to add horror icons, both old and new.
Phasmophobia
Phasmophobia getting its Halloween event isn’t out of the blue, considering it is already a horror game indeed. The event is quite intriguing and brings forward some intense activities to keep you engaged throughout the trick&treat season!
- Phasmophobia’s 2025 event starts on October 9th and will continue through Halloween (October 31).
- There will be fun challenges that reward players with spooky-themed items.
- A new weather for the maps is being introduced called the “Blood Moon.” The speed of ghosts will increase, and your sanity meter will fall faster.

Rust Console
Rust Console will begin its Halloween event around mid-October, and the developers are planning to surprise the players with something brand new this year.

This update will allow players to customise their own pet monster that can follow them around, assisting in fights or just standing there looking cute. Along with Franky, this event will have all the activities from the previous year return and a brand new set of Halloween skins..
Red Dead Online
Red Dead Online is presenting players with a set of bonuses this Halloween, and the rewards start with:
- Participating in the All Hallows’ Call to Arms rewards with triple RDO$, Gold, and XP.
- Players can also earn double RDO$, Gold, and XP on Telegram missions for Halloween.
Players can also use the previously released Halloween Pass 2 this year to bag even more rewards and Halloween content.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Witches Festival and store goods
Elder Scrolls Online will start its Halloween event soon, with the return of the Witches Festival. Pause your battle with the Writhing Wall for a moment since players will be able to collect rewards such as collectables, event tickets, and more.
The details on the event aren’t disclosed properly yet, but one thing is clear: slay monsters and get rewards! The ESO Crown Store is also presenting players with new spooky merch such as the Cruel Corelanya Arms Pack, Wickerchain Soul Arms Pack, a skeletal bursar assistant called Celia Tyde, the sultry Negligee of the Coven Shrike attire, and more.
