In Silent Hill f, the Ominous Photo Puzzle is one of the key challenges you’ll encounter in Shimizu Residence I. Here’s a simple guide to help you complete it, no matter the difficulty level you are playing the game.

Ominous Photo Puzzle Location in Silent Hill f

You’ll come across the Ominous Photo Puzzle in Shimizu Residence I. To find it, head through the middle section of the floor until you reach a closed-off room filled with hanging photos of Hinako’s loved ones. The puzzle here is all about adjusting the angles of the picture frames in the room. Once you set them correctly, the large blurred photo will shift, revealing the White Bird Crest and the Fox Crest hidden behind it.

Ominous Photo Puzzle Solution (All Difficulties)

The way the photos are arranged in the room changes depending on which ending you’re going for. Photos that are upright show the people Hinako cares about the most, while the ones turned upside down represent those she wants to forget, including, in some cases, herself.

Ending 1

Put Hinako’s photo in the empty spot. Make sure every picture is upright except for Hinako’s, which should be upside down.

Ending 2

Place Hinako’s photo in the empty spot. Keep Hinako and her parents’ photos upright, but flip all of her friends’ photos upside down.

Ending 3

Place Hinako’s photo in the empty spot. Keep Hinako, Shu, and Sakuko’s photos upright, then flip her parents’ and Rinko’s photos upside down.

Ending 4

Place Hinako’s photo in the empty spot. Keep only Hinako’s photo upright, and flip everyone else’s upside down.
