As soon as you wake up in the dream, you’ll face the Door Puzzle in the Dark Shrine Worship Hall. Follow the Fox Mask to reach the puzzle area. This guide will walk you through each step, showing which fox statues to interact with, which colours to change, and how to unlock all the doors.
Dark Shrine Worship Hall Door Puzzle in Silent Hill f
In Silent Hill f, you’ll encounter the Door Puzzle in the Dark Shrine Worship Hall as soon as you wake up in the dream. To reach it, just follow the Fox Mask. When you reach the central door that’s now unlocked, you’ll find Sakuko trapped in a room at the end of the hallway.
Dark Shrine Worship Hall Door Puzzle Solution (All Difficulty)
First, start by interacting with the fox statue to the right of the main door. This will open up a hallway on your right. Head down the stairs and you’ll find a small shrine where you can pray, along with another fox statue. Switch its color to blue to unlock the nearby doors but be ready, because an enemy will ambush you here. Try to fight it under the protective lantern.
Keep moving through the rooms until you come across another fox statue. Change its colour from blue to white, which will open the door behind you. Head back out, then go left to the door with the red symbol above it. Inside, you’ll find another fox statue. This time, switch it from red to green, which will unlock the northern door.
When you head north, you’ll come across a hallway with two smaller rooms in the centre. One of these rooms, marked in red, has an enemy inside, but you can open it by activating the switch in the next room. Inside, you can pick up a shrivelled abura-age. The fox statue in this section isn’t needed to solve the puzzle, so once you’ve explored, make your way back to the earlier room with the blue-and-white fox statue.
Switch it again like you did before so it turns white, which will let you return to the central area. Now, go through the green door that was locked earlier and walk down the hall. On the left, you’ll spot another fox statue changes its colour to red. There’s also a little side passageway nearby with a few extra items if you want to grab them.
Next, head across the hall to the red door. Be careful here, as more enemies wait for you. Stick to fighting under the lanterns for safety. Once you’re through, turn left and you’ll reach another shrine with a fox statue that has blue and white symbols. Change its colour to blue, and this will finally unlock the central door.
