The Life After Life quest in Dying Light: The Beast is all about exploring zombie-filled areas, helping survivors, and facing tough enemies. You will investigate smoke, rescue people trapped in the Town Hall, and restore power to make the place safe again. This guide will show you step by step how to complete the quest, fight enemies, and get all the rewards.
Life After Life Quest

In Life After Life, you start by investigating mysterious smoke and exploring cottages full of zombies. A survivor inside one cottage guides you to the Town Hall, where trapped survivors are hiding after a horde attack. You will face a Chimera Infected boss. You will need to help restore power to the Town Hall by carrying a power cable to the clock tower while fighting off enemies. Once connected, the sheriff reactivates UV lights, making the Town Hall a functional safe zone.
Investigating the Smoke

Start with the smoke investigation objective. You will find several cottages and shacks filled with zombies. One cottage is boarded up and surrounded by metal fences, and there’s an NPC inside you can talk to. Nearby, a watchtower allows you to activate a Safe Spot for resting and UV lights. The cottage entrance might be easy to miss at first, but you can hop over a narrow opening in the fence to get inside. Speak with the paranoid survivor, who will tell you about a group of survivors hiding in the Town Hall.
Head to the Town Hall

To reach the Town Hall, stick to the rooftops. Along the way, you will eventually hear a distress call from the survivors trapped inside. Enter through the boarded-up main entrance. Here, you will also find a pistol on a dead guard. Clear the zombies around the main patio where survivors have barricaded themselves in the rooms.
Stealth and Combat Tips

Many of the infected can be taken down with stealth attacks, especially those facing away, letting you save weapons for tougher enemies. Soon, a Chimera Infected will crash through a glass window, the first real boss-like enemy you encounter.
The Chimera has slow, telegraphed attacks like arm swings, charges, and ground pounds. Use environmental hazards like nearby gas canisters to deal extra damage. Keep an eye on your Beast meter; activating Beast Mode can stun the Chimera and let your teammates deal extra damage. Defeating it rewards you with a Beast Skill Point.
Restoring Power

After the fight, survivors will mention that their sheriff is restoring power to the Town Hall and UV lights. Climb the scaffolding where the Chimera entered to find a wounded survivor, who tells you the sheriff is at the clock tower. She asks for your help in bringing the power back while she fights off nearby infected. Use the zipline to reach the generator room, taking care of enemies along the way. Inside, you will find a backup generator, but you will need to carry a power cable to the electrical box at the top of the clock tower.
Climbing to the Tower

Carry the cable through the vent to take a shortcut toward the tower. Carefully climb along the ledges to reach the electrical boxes. Once connected, speak with the sheriff again. She thanks you for your help, and the Town Hall becomes a functional settlement again.
