The Abduction Injunction side quest in Borderlands 4 sends you off on a search to unearth the oddities behind some strange ship abducting livestock from the region. It’s quite a journey because you have to fight through waves of enemies to rescue the creatures. This walkthrough explains everything about getting started on the mission, following the ship, freeing the animals, and completing the objectives.
How to Start the Mission
This quest begins on the northern trail in Fadefield, where you’ll meet Wildhorn Jenny. After conversing with Jenny you’ll find out that her herd is being kidnapped by an odd spacecraft. Jenny gives you a long explanation, but you don’t have to wait; you can proceed ahead once the mission has been accepted and start heading towards the first marked location while the conversation carries on in the background.
Tracking Down the Ship
Your first objective leads you to the herd, marked on your map. When you arrive, you’ll witness the creatures being pulled upward by the ship. Shortly after, some enemies will appear—defeat them all to continue. Once the enemies are cleared, you’ll notice the ship vanishes.
From here, make your way to the Pools of Re-Flex-tion. The ship appears again in the distance, abducting another animal before moving off to its next destination.
Fighting and Freeing the Captives
The next marker guides you to a remote outpost where the abducted livestock are being held. You’ll spot the ship clearly here, but expect another heavy fight.
At the outpost, waves of enemies spawn to defend the ship. Switch to elemental weapons suited to their weaknesses if possible, then clear them all out. Once the area is secure, you’ll be able to free all three captured animals. After they’re released, the mission updates to its final step.
Completing the Mission
With the herd safe, head up to the ship and talk to Gormon, who reveals the truth behind the abductions. After the dialogue, the side quest is officially complete. While Gormon suggests you could return afterward, this isn’t required, the objective is fulfilled.
Note: There’s a Red Weapon Container nearby that you can open for rewards.
