How to Sprint in Path of Exile 2

Sprinting in Path of Exile 2 helps your character move fast, which is great for crossing big areas or getting away from danger. It’s not the best for turning or moving around tight spaces, but it’s super useful when you just need to run. In this guide, we will show you how sprinting works, how to use it, and when it’s most helpful.

How to Sprint in Path of Exile 2

Sprinting can help you get through maps faster. As more acts and quests get added to the game, doing them all over again in a new league can start to feel a bit tiring. That’s why being able to move quickly, especially when you are not fighting, can really help save time.

To sprint in Path of Exile 2, just hold down the dodge-roll button. Once your character finishes the dodge animation, they will start sprinting. This helps you move quickly toward your next objective. But be careful, if an enemy hits you while you are sprinting, your character can stumble and get slowed down for a moment.

Dodge Button and Skill Tips

The dodge skill is usually on your hotbar by default, but you can move it to any button you like. Sprinting doesn’t cost anything, so you can do it as long as you want. Remember, to avoid stumbling, cast a skill as soon as you see an enemy. Doing this will smoothly cancel the sprint into an attack, lowering the chance of getting hit and keeping you moving.

Your character can sprint as much as they want; there’s no limit, but turning while sprinting isn’t great. You can dodge and immediately start sprinting to escape quickly. You can also attack while sprinting, but it just ends the sprint and starts your regular attack or spell. So sprinting is mainly useful for getting around fast, not really for fighting, except when you need to run away.

Sprinting works best in a straight line or in open areas without too many things in the way. You can turn a little, but it’s not very smooth compared to regular jogging. If you try to make a sharp turn or don’t stop in time, you might crash into something. When that happens, your character will get stunned for a second before they can move again.
