All Food Item Locations in Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Delta

In Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Delta: Snake Eater, you can earn the Gastronome trophy by eating one of every food item in the game. There are 48 different foods to find, like animals, fruits, mushrooms, and even instant noodles. Some are easy to get, while others are hidden or need special tools like thermal goggles or traps. This guide will help you find each food, step by step.

All Food Item Locations 

In Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta, there are 48 unique food and item locations you will need to find for a full food collection. Once you have eaten at least one of every food item, go to the Main Menu, in Extras. And you will find a Food Collection. If it shows 100%, you will unlock the Gastronome trophy.

Dremuchij South

Dremuchij South, Dremuchij Swampland, and Dremuchij North are three connected zones you will explore in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The whole place is a thick, wild forest sitting on the edge of a tall cliff. The middle section is a swampy area crawling with Indian gavials. The mud here is especially tricky; it is so deep and sticky that people often call it a “bottomless swamp,” since moving through it on foot can be pretty dangerous.

Tree Frog

From the starting point, look to the right of the log you crawled under, there is a frog hopping in the grass. Crawl and listen for rustling. Use Sonar in “Very Easy” mode.

Siberian Inkcap (Mushroom)

You will find it at the base of trees near the log you crawled under.

Russian Oyster Mushroom

You will find it sitting on a tree stump on the left side of the area.

Reticulated Python

You will find it in the grass near where you got your backpack.

Giant Anaconda

You will find it near the exit of the same area.

Russian False Mango

You will find the Russian False Mango on a tree, just left of where you got your backpack.

Dremuchij Swampland

Indian Gavial (Crocodile)

You will find it swimming in the swamp. Kill it and eat its meat.

Golova (Fruit)

You will find it hanging from a tree near the first guard. It looks like a small green/yellow pear.

Sunda Whistling-Thrush (Bird)

You will find it below the fruit in the grass. It looks like a black raven. You can use Grenades if you have them. It respawns if you re-enter the area.

Yabloko Moloko (Fruit)

It looks like a red apple-like fruit at the far north of the area.

Magpie (Bird)

You will find it at the right side of the area, near a patch of grass and a log. Throw a grenade into the grass so that it comes out.

Rassvet

Rassvet is an abandoned factory area in Tselinoyarsk, USSR. It sits about three miles west of the OKB-754 Design Bureau and plays an important role as one of the early locations you will visit in the game.

Rat

You need to head towards the area where you meet Sokolov, just behind the main building. You need to crawl under the building through a small space. You will find rats there.

Cure Plant (C Med)

You will find it along the right edge of the area, near a wall.

Disinfectant Plant

You will find it between two sideways logs in the middle of the area.

Flying Squirrel 

It will glide between the trees. Look around the trees and watch closely.

Back to Dremuchij North (Post-Cutscene Area)

Green Tree Python

You will find the Green Tree Python, near the cliff hanging from a tree, just before the cutscene.

King Cobra

You will find it in the grass patch with the two guards after the cutscene. Remember, if you are not on Very Easy, you won’t have a weapon until you meet EVA. Return later if needed.

Splint Plant

Purple flower by a tree before the crawl-under log.

Markhor (Goat)

You will find it right near the starting area. Knife it to get the meat.

European Rabbit

You will find it in the same spot as the Markhor.

Styptic Plant

Now you need to go up the log. In the back-right corner, find a small green plant (blends in well).

Dolinovodno

Dolinovodno is a forested region in Tselinoyarsk, USSR. The area is split in half by a deep chasm, which is likely where it gets its name. A rough rope bridge stretches across the gap, allowing Soviet soldiers to move between here and Dremuchij to the south.

Hornet’s Nest

Above the guard on the bridge. You will need it later during The Pain boss fight. Do not eat or discard it.

Chyornyj Prud

Chyornyj Prud is a swampy area in Tselinoyarsk. It sits between Rassvet and Bolshaya Past and is mostly made up of deep, murky wetlands.

Coral Snake & Milk Snake

You will find both the items near the water, red patterned snakes on opposite sides.

Otton Frog

You will find the Otton Frog on the left side, floating in water.

Poison Dart Frog

Red frog with blue legs, found near the center of the water.

Arowana (Fish)

You will find it in the deeper part of the water. Kill it to pick it up.

Bolshaya Past Base

Bolshaya Past is a forested part of Tselinoyarsk in the USSR. To the north, you will find a massive crevice cutting through the land, while the southern section is dotted with thick, sticky swamp puddles that make moving around a bit of a challenge.

Russian Ration & Calorie Mate

You will find it inside a storage hut with a mousetrap.

Chyornaya Peschera Cave Branch

Chyornaya Peschera is an underground cavern in Tselinoyarsk, USSR. EVA, the KGB agent who helps Snake, explains that in English it is called “the black cave from which cold wind blows,” which fits its eerie atmosphere perfectly.

Kenyan Mangrove Crab

You will find it at the cave entrance. Use Thermal Goggles.

Taiwanese Cobra & Glow Cap Mushroom

You will find it at a dead-end with a skeleton and glowing mushroom.

Vampire Bat

You will find it after passing through the flooded room, crawl through the tunnel and find them hanging from the ceiling.

The Pain Hornets’ Nest

During the boss fight, equip the Hornets’ Nest from earlier. Let him attack you with bees. After a few seconds, it turns into a food item. Eat it (this is easy to miss).

Ponizovje is a mangrove swamp in Tselinoyarsk. In the northern part of the area, there is a warehouse used for moving supplies, while to the west you will find a smaller storage building.

Maroon Shark & Bigeye Trevally

You will find both the fishes swimming near you as soon as you enter. Look carefully, thermal goggles won’t help.

Ponizovje Warehouse: Exterior

Ponizovje is a mangrove swamp in Tselinoyarsk. In the northern part of the area, there is a warehouse used for moving supplies, while to the west you will find a smaller storage building.

Cobalt Blue Tarantula

You will find Cobalt Blue Tarantula near the big red door on the wall.

You will find it upstairs in the warehouse and go through the door on the left.

Graniny Gorki South

Fly Agaric Mushroom

You will find it after dropping down, find them near a tree straight ahead.

Tsuchinoko (Mythical Snake)

Use mouse traps near Ponizovje Warehouse. Keep resetting them until you catch one. Eat it, then reload your save to keep it for the Infinity Face Paint unlock. Unlocks the “Believe It or Not” trophy.

Graniny Gorki Exterior

Red Avadavat (Bird)

It is a small red bird in the grass ahead. Use Thermal Goggles to see it.

Svyatogornyj is a forested region in Tselinoyarsk. Snake travels through this area on his journey to Sokrovenno during Operation Snake Eater.

Spatsa Mushroom

Spatsa Mushroom can be found near the very first tree, at the foot of it.

Vine Melon

You will find it hanging off vines in the middle area. Use Thermal Goggles if needed.

Baikal Scaly Tooth Mushroom

You will find it at the base of the trees, it looks like a cluster of mushrooms.

Svyatogornyj West

Svyatogornyj is a forested region in Tselinoyarsk. Snake travels through this area on his journey to Sokrovenno during Operation Snake Eater.

Ural Luminescent Mushroom

You will find the Ural Luminescent Mushroom just behind the log on the left side. Small and hard to see, use Thermal Goggles.

Sokrovenno South

Svyatogornyj is a forested region in Tselinoyarsk. Snake travels through this area on his journey to Sokrovenno during Operation Snake Eater.

Parrot

You will find it on a stump right at the start of The End boss fight. Grab it quickly before it flies away.

Krasnogorje Mountain Base

Krasnogorje is a rugged, mountainous region in Tselinoyarsk, USSR.

Thai Cobra

You will find it on the ground after dropping down a ledge.

Vulture (Bird)

You will find it on the cliff edges. If they don’t show up here, check the next area.

Emperor Scorpion 

It is found in the same area as above. You need to use Thermal Goggles to find it.

Rokovoj Bereg

Rokovoj Beregis a striking area in Tselinoyarsk, featuring a wide lake set beside a field of white grass lilies.

Snake I (Liquid), Snake J (Solid), Snake K (Solidus)

You will find all three snakes are near logs. Use Thermal Goggles to find them.
