To get around this, you will need to create backup saves. If you’re playing on PC, it’s easy, just copy the “Saved” folder and keep it somewhere safe. If you ever want to return to that exact point in the game, just move the folder back into the “Project_Plague” directory.

Later on, when you reach the Ruins: Annalum area in Worship’s Rise, you will run into the Storyteller. This time, you will need to refuse what he offers you twice. If you’ve followed all these steps, your path will now lead to the Palace Pass Entrance. Here, you will face off against the Bo Magus in a battle. Defeat her, and you’ll be treated to a special ending cinematic. This is essentially the default ending of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and it’s the one most players will naturally reach if they’re just playing through the story without following any special steps or guides.
As you make your way through Worship’s Rise, you will eventually arrive at the Ruins: Annalum. Here, you will meet the Storyteller agree to help him when prompted. Later, either inside or on the path to the Burning Cave area, you will come across a weakened Xuanyangzi. When you speak with him, choose to hand over the Jade Feather Chisel.
Doing this allows you to summon Xuanyangzi using the Bone Whistle during the boss fight against The Reborn, also known as the Dragon Emperor. After defeating this boss, you will be transported to the Bo Capital region.

Once you’ve got that, go ahead and defeat the final boss, Feathery Ambition. After the fight, you will see a gate appear. Instead of entering the usual ending, this time it will take you into the Realm of Dreams for a different conclusion.
How to get the Bound By Fate’s Threads ending
If you’ve made a backup save before going through the gate, you won’t need to fight the final boss again to see a different ending. You just need to enter your inventory, load that save, and choose whether to use or discard the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth. Now, when you step through the gate, you will enter the Realm of Truth instead, unlocking a different ending without replaying the boss fight.
