How to Increase Pollution Resistance in Once Human

Dealing with pollution in Once Human can be tricky, especially when you are just starting. Pollution slowly eats away at your health and sanity if you’re not prepared, but luckily, there are plenty of ways to protect yourself. By wearing the right gear, drinking the right brews, and keeping a few handy items with you, you can explore even the most toxic areas without too much trouble. Here’s how you can build up your pollution resistance and stay safe out there.

    How to Increase Pollution Resistance

In the beginning, just use something simple. Make yourself some fruit tea using coneflower. A little later on, you can start brewing drinks like corn ale or malt ale. Once you have got access to wheat, turn that into malt ale.

But here’s the thing: resistance alone won’t keep you safe in areas with heavy pollution. You will need a drink that uses coneflower, like fruit tea, which only needs one water and one coneflower to help your sanity recover. Or you can drink beer or ale, which will make you immune to sanity loss from pollution. On top of that, always try to eat and drink things that give you extra pollution resistance.

For gear, make sure you equip higher-tier armour whenever you can. And try the Tide armour set. It’s a great all-rounder. Sure, it might cause some problems to show up, but the extra damage bonuses it gives are worth it.

If you are just starting and need to handle pollution, the best gear you can get early on is the Test Subject Outfit. Each piece of this set gives you extra pollution resistance, so it’s really helpful when you’re exploring areas with heavy pollution.

On top of that, always keep some helpful consumables with you, things like Sanity Gummies, Ice Cubes, and Fruit Teas. These can heal pollution damage and keep your sanity from dropping too much. And don’t forget, one of the easiest ways to recover from pollution damage is simply by sleeping in your bed. It’s simple, but it works.
