In the Grow A Garden Zen update, players can now discover six brand‑new pets hidden inside Zen Eggs. These pets are themed around peace and calm, taking inspiration from Japanese culture. Each one comes with its own unique ability that can help make your garden even more special and rewarding. If you’re looking to collect them all or just want to know what they do, here’s everything you need to know about the Zen Egg pets and how to get them.

Grow A Garden All 6 Zen Egg Pets

The Zen Eggs bring six brand‑new pets to the Grow a Garden Zen update. As the name hints, these pets are all about peace and calm, with designs inspired by Japanese culture. Just like any other pet in Grow a Garden, each Zen Egg pet comes with its own special passive ability that can help you out in your garden.

    Shiba Inu (Uncommon)

This little dog will occasionally help out in your garden. About every 58 seconds, it has roughly a 15% chance to dig up a random seed for you.

    Nihonzaru (Rare)

If you’ve decorated your garden with a hot spring, this clever monkey gives a small boost to the passive effects of all your other pets.

    Tanuki (Legendary)

Every 10 minutes or so, this mischievous raccoon‑dog runs around your garden, doing random actions and causing a bit of playful chaos.

    Tanchozuru (Mythical)

About every 10 minutes, any fruit within roughly 15 studs of this graceful crane has a small 5% chance to develop the special Tranquil mutation.

    Kappa (Mythical)

This water sprite is busy! Every 7.5 seconds, it applies the Wet mutation to plants nearby. On top of that, there’s a little over a 10% chance it will turn those Wet plants into the rarer Bloodlit mutation.

    Kitsune (Prismatic)

This magical fox is a powerhouse. Every 20 minutes, it chooses a random fruit from another garden, gives it a 5× Chakra mutation, and even duplicates it. Sometimes, if you’re lucky, it will also apply the rare Foxfire Chakra mutation.

    How to get Zen Eggs

If you want to get free Zen Eggs, go visit Monk Unk, who you’ll find in the centre of the play area. Bring him plants or fruits that have the Tranquil mutation and submit them. Each time you hand these in, you’ll see a progress bar fill up, which helps the Zen Tree behind him grow. You will receive random Zen-themed goodies as the tree develops and levels up, and it’s likely that one of those rewards will be a Zen Egg.

Another way to get Zen Eggs is through the Zen Shop. If you’ve saved up enough Chi points, talk to the Brown Raccoon (Tanuki) NPC standing next to the Monk in the middle of the map. You can purchase Zen Eggs straight from the Zen Shop for 30 Chi apiece, or for 149 Robux if you’d rather.

Decided that degrees were as useful as extra lives in a Mario game-totally unnecessary! I’m diving into the extravagant universe of my favourite game, Assassin’s Creed, which lets me roam the world without actually paying for plane tickets. Hodophile by nature and aspiring to get lost in Hang Sơn Đoòng cave in Vietnam someday!
