How to Get Adamantite in Destiny 2 and It’s God Roll

Looking for a solid support weapon in Destiny 2? Adamantite is a peculiar Strand Support Frame auto rifle that heals allies, buffs their damage, and fits nicely within Strand-based builds. This guide will detail you on how to obtain Adamantite, give the best god rolls for PvE and PvP, as well as opine on why it is the best choice for support focused Guardians.

Destiny 2 – Rolls for PvE and PvP

There used to be only a single Support Frame auto rifle present in Destiny 2 before Episode Heresy, and that was No Hesitation, which healed allies with every shot. These rifles are for players who want to support a team rather than dish out heavy damage. Adamantite came to change that; however, it offers more variety. This Strand-based auto rifle heals, then boosts weapon damage for allies, while they drop Unraveling projectiles around them to serve as yet another layer of crowd control. Unlike No Hesitation, Adamantite sits in the Kinetic slot, making it a great auto rifle option for support-focused Strand builds or for players that want to save their Energy slot for an important Exotic weapon.

PvE God Roll for Adamantite

Here’s what you want for PvE:

  • Perk 1: Reciprocity
  • Perk 2: Circle of Life
  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Magazine: Tactical Mag
  • Masterwork: Handling

This roll is perfect for players who want to keep their team alive and empowered. Reciprocity gives you a small bit of health whenever you heal others, and Circle of Life boosts your weapon’s damage by 25% for 10 seconds after rapid healing. These perks complement each other beautifully—heal your allies and get stronger yourself.

Since it’s a Strand weapon, it also adds offensive value with Unraveling projectiles that pop up around healed teammates. That gives you some solid area damage, making it a rare hybrid between healing and crowd control. You can also build around Adamantite with other Strand perks. For instance:

  • Hatchling can spawn Threadlings, which swarm enemies.
  • Slice lets you Sever enemies after using your class ability.
  • Tear makes precision kills apply Sever to nearby targets.

PvP God Roll for Adamantite

Support Frame weapons aren’t the go-to for PvP, but if you enjoy playing a team-support role or disrupting enemy momentum with surprise healing, Adamantite can be effective in the right hands. Recommended roll for PvP:

  • Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
  • Perk 1: Reciprocity
  • Perk 2: Kill Clip or Circle of Life
  • Magazine: Accurized Rounds
  • Masterwork: Range

There aren’t many standout third-column perks for PvP, but Reciprocity still has some value, healing a teammate mid-fight could throw off the enemy’s rhythm. In the final column, go for Kill Clip if you’re more aggressive, it gives you a nice 25% damage bump after a kill and reload. If you’re staying closer to your team, Circle of Life can still be useful for more consistent damage increases. Both perks can reduce your time-to-kill significantly, especially against Guardians with lower Resilience.

How to Farm Adamantite

You’ll find Adamantite in The Nether, a rogue-lite mode that was introduced in Destiny 2. The activity is broken into encounters with three mini-objectives. Completing one of these encounters rewards a loot chest, and there are bonus hidden chests around the map too. The weapon can drop in several versions:

  • Shiny (extra perk in each column + bonus trait)
  • Shiny Adept (the best version)
  • Adept
  • Standard

To get Adept and Shiny Adept versions, you’ll need to run the activity on Expert difficulty. Farming solo is also possible, just finish one encounter, then reset or reload to repeat the process. You can also use the Tome of Want to increase your chances, just set it to target Episodic auto rifles so you can get more drops of Adamantite.

Adamantite may not replace top-tier DPS weapons, but if you’re building around Strand or want to help your fireteam with healing and buffs, it’s a fantastic weapon to have. Its unique role as a Kinetic slot Strand healer makes it versatile for both PvE and support-heavy PvP scenarios.
