Divided We Fall is a main quest in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon that asks you to unite the different Dál Riata tribes. In this quest, you’ll work alongside Gerf’hanr. Your job is to visit each tribe, earn their trust by helping them with their troubles, and convince them to join the Moot. This guide will walk you through everything you need to do to complete Divided We Fall and bring the tribes together.
How to Start the Divided We Fall Quest
Make sure you have already acquired Palamedes’ Shield during Cuanacht’s main tale before beginning this quest. After that, proceed through the south-east gate close to Kvorr’s camp to reach the Forlorn Swords. You will see a man yelling at you next to the quick travel point as soon as you enter. Speaking with him will initiate Dead Congregation, a significant side quest. You will meet a Dál Riata warrior named Gerf’hanr as a result of this mission.
Divided We Fall Quest Guide
Gerf’hanr is attempting to unite all of the Dál Riata tribes, as you will discover when you speak with him. You have the option to assist him in this. To accomplish this, you must go to the village of each tribe, speak with their leader, and finish a few side tasks to gain their confidence.
For each tribe, you must do the following:
- Tribe of Ölfr: South-east of the Forlorn Swords is where you can find their village. They need your assistance to remove Thrygve, their current leader, who has been stirring up problems.
- Theud Tribe: Complete their quest, The Sleep That Never Comes, along with four more side quests that follow it, to win their support.
- Volker Tribe: To win them over to your cause, you must complete three tasks for them: The Forked Path, Follow Her Steps, and Shattered Pride.
- Sveinn Tribe: God’s Cure and The Breach are two tasks that require your assistance. The northeastern corner of the Forlorn Swords is where their village is located. Starting at the Forlorn Swords Northern Gate and travelling east is the simplest route to get there.
You can return to Gerf’hanr at the Capital and inform him of the outcome after you’ve had a chance to talk with all the tribes and they’ve decided whether or not to attend the Moot. Gerf’hanr will give you a piece of King Arthur’s armour for each tribe that consents to join.
You will be awarded King Arthur’s Gauntlets if you are successful in persuading Batraam and the Sveinn tribe to join. King Arthur’s Boots will be given to you if Yngvi and the Theud choose to join. King Arthur’s Greaves will be yours if you can win over Angsvar and the Volker. Additionally, you will receive King Arthur’s Breastplate as a reward for assisting Stron’ner and the Ölfr tribe in joining the Moot.
