Scarlet and Volt’s Quagmire Quest Guide
After you accept the quest from Scarlet, Volt will take off toward the spot where a Box Robot was last seen. Head to the southeastern part of the Great Desert, near some quicksand and a broken road. Use the neighbouring fast travel point at the Debris-filled Entryway supply camp, which is located just north of the destination, to get there more quickly.
Volt will be barking at a Box Robot that is hovering atop a bus when you get there. To begin the Operation, ascend the bus and engage with the robot. In order to properly finish this fifth and last mini-game, you must defeat Maelstrom.
Maelstrom Fight Guide
During the fight with Maelstrom, it’ll start launching red orbs all over the place, targeting every cover spot. Be quick to shoot them before they hit, or you’ll take damage. On top of that, Maelstrom will also release three more red orbs that summon Test Subjects. Make sure to take them out quickly. Focus on protecting at least one cover spot so you always have a safe place to hide these attacks can damage all your covers if you’re not careful.
As the battle goes on, an emergency flying ambulance will show up and drop green wandering robots around the area. Shoot these bots to refill your recovery bar.The main goal here is to survive long enough to slowly bring down Maelstrom’s health. So always keep an eye on your healing and avoid getting caught out in the open.
For damage, the Unli Ammo Burst is your best bet it’s great for single-target fights like this. Just make sure you’re safely behind cover before using it, since you can still get hit during the burst. And lastly, don’t forget to switch covers between bursts Maelstrom can easily overwhelm one spot if you stay put for too long.
