Want to take a dive into the Nikke DLC for Stellar Blade? This quick guide takes you through unlocking and accessing the crossover content, from its installation all the way to finding Volt in the Wasteland. Newly started or in the middle of the game? Follow these steps and you will witness special quests, unique rewards, and of course, all the goodness the Nikke update has in store!
Step 1: Unlock Access by Installing the DLC
For starters, make sure that the Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory: Nikke content is actually present in your game. If you picked up the Complete Edition or the Twin Expansion Pack, you’re all good—it’s bundled within! Otherwise, hop over to Steam or the PlayStation Store and purchase it.
Pro tip: If you have not installed it yet, the bottom of the title screen shows you a prompt about the crossover. Click that, and it will lead you directly to its store page.
Step 2: Progress the Main Story Until You Hit the Wasteland
The DLC does not unlock from the get-go. You have to really go far in the main game until the mission Altess Levoire opens up. That’s actually when the Wasteland region becomes really available-about the 3-hour mark for a new player on the scene.
If your present save file is beyond that point, here’s a little trick to make sure everything works:
- Go to a Tetrapod station.
- Talk to Adam standing outside.
- Choose “Travel to another region” and pick Xion.
- Once in Xion, exit through the southern gate to enter the Wasteland.
Skipping directly to the Wasteland via fast travel might prevent the crossover quest from activating—so don’t do that.
Step 3: Find the Dog
Once you’re in the Wasteland, open your map and look for a white diamond icon labeled with the Nikke crossover. Head over there, and you’ll find Volt, a robotic dog.
Approach and interact with Volt to trigger a cutscene. This officially starts the DLC questline and unlocks new side activities.
Complete the tasks Volt offers to earn Bone-Wrenches, which you can then trade at his shop for exclusive cosmetics.
