Gunfire Games announced its third premium DLC for Remnant 2, dubbed “The Dark Horizon,” and will be released on September 24. The expansion will take the player deeper into the mysterious land of N’Erud. The DLC will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. It will cost $9.99, but the Ultimate Edition of Remnant 2 owners will get it free.
Apart from the paid DLC “The Dark Horizon,” there is also a free update for Remnant 2 that includes a Boss Rush mode. This update will arrive for all players, regardless of whether they bought any previous DLCs. “The Dark Horizon” and the free DLC will be released on September 24. The Dark Horizon
The Dark Horizon expansion takes you back to N’Erud, a world preserved in time. This abandoned world is now filled with rogue robots and AI. You must uncover its secrets and defeat the monstrous entity dominating the skyline. In this new adventure, you will explore new dungeons, use a new glider traversal system, acquire powerful gear, meet unexpected allies, and face new threats.
Boss Rush Mode
Boss Rush is another new game mode that introduces fighting waves of enemies and bosses. You can play single-player or with friends, and three difficulty levels are offered: Triple Threat, Trial by Fire, and The Gauntlet. The number of defeated enemies and bosses is proportional to rare loot earned, and temporary buffs will assist you in surviving longer.
You can Access Boss Rush by going to World Stone in Ward 13 and choosing it. Then, select the difficulty you want and go with it. The free update will also include a new system called Prisms. Prisms are a new way to upgrade your fragments and get additional stat bonuses.
The Dark Horizon DLC brings an exciting mode of transport in the game. Now you can glide through the game and explore the new secrets of the game. There is also an addition of a new character “The Warden”, equipped with a drone which provides a shield that protects you from incoming danger. The DLC also introduces new weapons, bosses and terrifying creatures into the game lore.
The Warden
A new character, “ The Warden,” is added to the game. It works best as a support character with other existing characters in the game. The Warden’s unique skill allows it to regenerate the drones’s shields and energy. The Drone has three different modes.
- Shield mode: This mode provides a shield to the Warden and its allies, protecting them from danger.
- Heal Mode: The drone regenerates the Warden’s and its allies’ health.
- Combat Mode: In this mode, the drone targets nearby enemies and participates in the battle.
New Weapons and Gear
The game introduces new weapons and gear that The Warden uses, helping it support its allies in the game efficiently. Besides firearms, many items are added to the game that provide bonuses and buffs. New items like rings and amulets will help you survive in the dangerous place of N’Erud while fighting monsters. Combining these new weapons will help the players play the game.
