Space Marine 2 Operations Class Tier List

Below we will rank all existing classes in Space Marine 2 in Tiers. S Tier is the best of the lot, while A and B Tiers are average but manageable. C Tier classes do not do well in PvE Operations alone and would rather work well in a team instead.

S Tier Classes for Space Marine 2 Operations

1. Tactical

Why the Tactical class is the best is because you get to choose a large arsenal of weapons. You got the primary, secondary, and melee weapon slots unlocked, and you can use them to create the most versatile build out there. Plus, the Tactical class is quite beginner friendly, and works well in solo or in a group

The other plus point about this class is its class skill. The Auspex Scan skill lets you scan and mark enemies within the vicinity. This effect lasts 8 seconds and gives you and your teammates enough time to weed out Tyranids

2. Bulwark

The best support class out there, the Bulwark works great in a team and has high defense thanks to its shield. But the only drawback to this class is that you won’t have a primary weapon slot. So you have to make do with your secondary and melee weapon in a fight. This can be a bit of a problem while facing hoards of Tyranids, which is why this class should work with a team at all times

But what it lacks in weapons, it makes up for in class ability. The Chapter Banner restores Armour to all Squad Members who stands within it’s AOE, which helps your team stay strong in battle and further increasing defense of all allies

3. Vanguard

Vanguard is a great class for close combat and one-on-on fights. If faced with a boss, the Vanguard has the best class ability to vanquish it. With its Grapnel Launcher, the Vanguard class can quickly latch onto the nearest enemy and deal massive damage without much repercussion. The Vanguard also has high mobility and plenty of aerial moveset like the Diving Kick, which helps in taking out larger enemies. 

The only drawback to the Vanguard is that it is not good against crowd control. But in a team, the Vanguard is one of the best classes available

B Tier Classes for Space Marine 2 Operations

4. Assault

It was a close tie between the Assault and the Vanguard, but the only reason why we placed the Assault a bit lower is because it lacks a primary weapon. But that won’t be a hindrance while navigating the missions with the Assault class. Its unique Jump Pack ability is the best for crowd control. Pair that with the Thunder Hammer and you can jump and slam down to the ground hard, knocking back enemies and dealing damage within that AoE

The Assault can work solo, but you might find that completing boss fights can be tough with this class. So pick your battles and work in a team to make the most of the Assault class

5. Heavy

The Heavy class is a tanky defensive class that has the Iron Halo ability. This ability creates a shield that blocks all incoming ranged attacks. With high armor stats, the Heavy class is great to have if you prefer to play a defensive role and let your teammates do all the work. Plus, with the lack of melee weapons, the Heavy class can only work at range, making it somewhat unusable in certain missions

The Sniper class is ranked last because it does not offer a lot to PvE. This class deals with long range attacks, and as such is a difficult class to master when it comes to mob damage. With low Armor stats and poor choice of melee weapons, you are better off with other classes listed above. Even its Camo Cloak special ability isn’t worth it, as you will still get bumped by enemies as you make your way through the Tyranid infested lands
