How to Get All Trophies in KCD2 Brushes With Death

The Brushes With Death DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II adds 13 new achievements you can unlock while playing. Some of them are easy, while others can be missed if you don’t know what to do. This guide will help you get every single one, step by step. If you want to unlock all the trophies in this DLC, you’re in the right place.

How to Get All Trophies

The Brushes with Death: Kingdom Come: Deliverance II includes 13 achievements you can unlock.

1. Flagellum Dei

To unlock this, head over to the Nomads Camp in the Trosky Region and talk to Bibrek the Archer and Mikolai the Horse Handler. This will start the quest called Horses for Courses. At first, you’ll need to complete 3 required competitions for Bibrek. After that, you can keep asking him to join more challenges, which get tougher as you go. You just need a total of 150 points across all competitions. Difficulty doesn’t matter, so feel free to pick Easy, Hard, or Tengri’s. Also, don’t worry if you fail a round, you’ll still keep the points you earned.

2. Boneworks

There are three key quests you’ll need to complete for this part of the game. First, help Gravedigger Ignatius at the Trosky cemetery during the quest Forbidden Fruit, which is part of Kreyzl’s questline. Then, head to Kuttenberg and assist Brother Morticius in the cemetery during the quest Thou Art But Dust. Finally, help Executioner Heinz in the quest The Executioner’s Pride. To unlock this last quest, go to The Hole in the Wall tavern in Kuttenberg and speak with the innkeeper just look for the quest icon above him.

3. Nothing But the Best

In the ninth DLC quest, “Root of Evil,” you’ll get the recipe for the painter’s medicine called Mandrake Decoction. To make it, you’ll need a few ingredients: freshwater pearls which you can find at the bandit camp by the river northeast of Danemark, mandrake root is given to you by Gravedigger Frantichek after you help him in a fistfight.

To unlock the achievement, you need to craft the potion at Henry’s quality level. The moment you successfully brew it, the achievement will pop. Just keep in mind you’ll need to be Alchemy level 16 and have the Secret of Secrets perk to craft potions at Henry’s quality.

4. Rest in One Piece

At the end of the DLC, you’ll receive Vojtech’s painted skull from the painter. To unlock the achievement, you’ll need to return it to Vojtech’s grave. If you’ve already visited the grave once, there will be a map marker to help you find it. Just make sure you bring a shovel. Remember, don’t dig up the grave before you get the skull, if you do, the achievement won’t unlock. Once you have the skull, head back to the grave, dig it up, and place the skull inside to complete the task.

5. All Fun and Games

You can unlock this achievement by going back to Stihlau after you finish the story mission where you recover the Mary statue. All you need to do is talk to him. You will find him in an alley on the western side of Kuttenberg.

6. Curiosity Killed the Cat

You can unlock Curiosity Killed the Cat During the mission “Man Proposes”, which is the sixth quest. First, accept the task called “Madman’s Broken Sword” from Libor at the dugout. You’ll need to repair the sword by reforging it, just fixing it with a blacksmith kit won’t work. To reforge the sword, you’ll need 1 fastening material, 3 pieces of Frankfurt steel, and the broken sword itself. After repairing it, take the sword back to the dugout and give it to Libor. Be sure to pass the hard speech check so he keeps the sword. Then, head to Maleshov and wait for 24 hours. When you return to the dugout, you’ll find Libor has hanged himself, which will unlock the achievement.

7. Painted

During the eighth quest, “Stained Honour,” you’ll need to paint over the painting in the Bailiff’s room in Pschitoky. The journal describes this as “defacing the painter’s work.” Once you do this, the achievement will unlock right away. It is illegal, so be ready to make a quick getaway.

8. Confessor

You can unlock this after finishing the sixth and seventh quests, “Man Proposes” and “God Disposes.” At the end of “God Disposes,” talk to Voyta and go through all the dialogue options, make sure you always ask him about his past.

9. Poet’s Gut

During the quest “Source of Inspiration,” follow all of Kvyetoslava’s requests carefully, and then recite a poem that she likes.

10. Vengeance Solves Nothing

To get Vengeance Solves Nothing, you need to complete the quest “Portrait in Red”. Wait until nighttime when everyone in the camp is asleep. Near the campfire, by some tents, you’ll find a chest with the killer’s helmet inside. Grab the helmet and take it back to the painter. When you talk to him, pass the skill check where you claim you killed the culprit, and the achievement will unlock.

11. Masterpiece

Once you finish all 10 quests from the Brushes with Death DLC, the main achievement will unlock. However, there are several missable achievements to keep an eye on throughout the story.

12. Bohemian Graffiti

As soon as you finish the first quest in the Brushes with Death DLC, you’ll unlock the ability to paint shields. You’ll find the painter in a room next to the scribe at Trosky Castle, located in the Trosky Region.

To earn the related achievement, you just need to paint one shield of each of the following four types. Don’t worry about which colors, patterns, or symbols you choose those don’t affect the achievement:

  • Round shield – like the circular Cuman shield (often found during random encounters or at Sigismund’s camp)
  • Heater shield – such as the Kuttenberg or Hungarian heater shields
  • Knight shield – examples include the Lords of Semine or Van Bergow knight shields
  • Pavese or tower shield – like the Hungarian Pavese or Johnny the Gob’s shield

These are just examples; any regular shield of the correct type will work. You don’t need to paint a kite shield, so you can skip that type entirely.

13. Bohemians Rise Up!

To unlock the Bohemians Rise Up! achievement, you need to paint three knight shields, each displaying one of the kingdom crests that represent Bohemia. These crests become available as you progress through the DLC.

You can’t complete this until after the fourth quest, Portrait in Red, which unlocks the Eagle Sable crest. You’ll also need the Lion Argent crest, which becomes available after finishing the final main quest, Judgment Day.

The specific design or pattern of the shield doesn’t seem to matter, but the following combinations are confirmed to work.

  • Shield 1: Barry Indented pattern, Bordeaux (Gules) colors, Historical section, Lion Argent crest
  • Shield 2: Per Fess pattern, Azure colors, Historical section, Moravian Eagle crest
  • Shield 3: Per Fess pattern, Or (gold) colors, Historical section, Eagle Sable crest

Once you paint all three knight shields with these crests, the achievement should unlock.
