In Revenge of the Savage Planet, the Shrine of Challenge is a key place in your journey across Quasadron IX, having combats with puzzle-solving. If you want to earn powerful upgrades and get a couple of achievements, here’s how to find and solve the Shrine of Challenge.
How to Find the Shrine of Challenge
The Shrine of Challenge on Quasadron IX is actually part of the main story. You’ll come across it in the Summit region after completing the mission That Has My Name On It, which requires you to collect all of Eko’s tools and gadgets. The final upgrade you’ll get is the Remote Drone Controller, found in this area. Shortly after, the mysterious robot will reach out to you again, triggering a mission called Fine, I’ll Do It. In this mission, you’ll guide Eko through three tricky areas, dodging lasers in tight spaces. Once all three terminals are activated, the teleporter in the Summit will finally unlock.
How to Solve the Shrine of Challenge
Room 1:
Pick up a Blight Bomb from the nearby plant and throw it at the switch. That’ll clear it so you can shoot the switch and open the door.
Room 2:
Scrappi sends in a wave of cyber enemies, many of them protected by the green goo. Use Blight Bombs to remove their shields, then take them out.
Room 3:
You will be up against the Cyber Wardrill, a mutated version of a Wardrill. First, throw a Blight Bomb to break its green shield. That will reveal a red shield, which you’ll need to break using Bombegranate seeds. You’ll need to repeat this cycle a few times. Cyber Wardrill is a tough boss. It hits hard, moves fast, and has a big laser over its head. To damage it properly, you’ll first need to break through its force fields. When the shield is green, use Blight Bombs. When it turns red, switch to grenades. While you’re throwing bombs always focus on Wardrill it will always charge straight at you.
Always move on the battlefield as the drone will continuously follow you and deal damage until you manage to destroy it. Also, every time you break through both shields, a bunch of Cyber Tatushkeys will rush in and try to blow up near you. Focus on using Bombegranate, and keep using your hook-shot and jumps to stay mobile. If you’ve unlocked the Drone Tether upgrade for EKO, it’ll help a lot by letting you swing around the room more easily. Taking down the boss will earn you the achievement: “Cyber Corruption.” Once that’s done, head into the next room and pick up the Pentacore piece to unlock another achievement: “Slap Happy.”
