How to Find Chromatic Ramasseur
From the entrance of the Visages, follow the main path until you reach the next checkpoint, and a cutscene will play. After the cutscene, activate the Piazza checkpoint. Just to the left of it, you’ll see two narrow paths; take the one with tall, rough stone walls and not the one with red flowers.
Keep going down this path until you reach a large head-shaped figure. Walk up to it, and you’ll be transported to a new area. Explore this space and fight through the enemies. Then you will find a light at the end of a cave, move toward it, and activate the Sadness Vale checkpoint. Continue forward, clearing out more enemies. Then look to your left for another narrow path. Follow it until you spot an enemy standing in the distance. Move toward it, and you’ll find Chromatic Ramasseur there.
How to Beat Chromatic Ramasseur
To take down Chromatic Ramasseur, you don’t need to try dodging; the only thing that you need to do is parry. The boss only has three main attacks, so once you’ve seen them a few times, it gets easier to recognize the patterns.
The most common attack is a combo using its Nevron arm, and it comes in two variations. One version hits you four times, and the other hits eight times in a row. Both look similar, so whenever you see the combo starting, get ready to parry multiple times, either four or eight, depending on the pattern.
Now, the third attack is a real problem. It’s a charged strike called the mortal hit, and it’s deadly it can one-shot you if you fail to parry it. It’s difficult because the timing window to parry is very small. You’ll know it’s coming when the boss pauses and starts charging up after doing a few Nevron combos.
Honestly, it’s much safer to dodge this one instead of trying to parry. Even if you manage to parry it, you will lose some health. So it’s smarter to just stay safe, dodge the mortal hit, and keep the fight going.
Chromatic Ramasseur Rewards
When you defeat Chromatic Ramasseur in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, you’ll earn some solid rewards. You’ll get the Augmented Counter II skill, two Resplendent Chroma Catalysts, and five Colours of Lumina. On top of that, you’ll receive 4,410 Chroma and some XP to help you level up. And if you manage to beat the boss using Monoco, you’ll also unlock a special item: Ramasseur’s Foot.
